This study focused on the development of an educational technology aimed at promoting the principles of Lifestyle Medicine (LM) in Primary Health Care of a Basic Health Unit (BHU) in the region of Ilha das Onças, Barcarena, Pará. The study highlighted the importance of LM as an evidence-based clinical discipline that promotes a healthy lifestyle. Considering the efficiency in providing public services, especially in the health area, as a constitutional principle, the proximity of the BHU services is highlighted as the only access of the riverside population to public health services. The research focused on the Ribeirinha Vital Costa Gouvêa BHU, located in an Amazonian area classified as high social vulnerability. The objectives included the development of an educational technology, analysis of the integration of LM principles in professional practice, identification of challenges and opportunities, and creation of instructional material to empower health professionals. The study was exploratory cross-sectional, using Focus Group sessions with four groups of BHU professionals and Content Analysis was applied through the IRaMuTeQ software, following the Reinert Method in the analysis of collected data. As a result, instructional materials and a teaching plan were developed for a workshop, addressing essential topics such as food pattern, physical activity, sleep, stress control, use of toxic substances, social connection, and motivational interview. These were developed based on the observations and theoretical-conceptual gaps identified by professionals during interactions with patients and discussions of focus groups, aiming to fill these gaps through permanent health education. The conclusion highlighted the need for educational strategies that incorporated both the technical approach and the emphasis on human interaction, promoting a holistic view in fostering healthy habits. The importance of effective communication, supported by Continuing Education and educational technology, was emphasized to optimize patient follow-up at the BHU.

INTRODUCTION: Several factors are involved in the etiology of overweight and obesity, among which we can mention as primary the energy imbalance between calories ingested and spent, obtained mainly from the change in eating habits in which there was a higher consumption of industrialized foods, rich in fats, sugars and salt; and consequent reduction in physical activities, bringing us more and more to sedentary lifestyle (WHO, 2014). OBJECTIVE: To verify the prevalence of overweight and obesity in elementary school students, final years (6th to 9th grade), aged between 10 and 15 years of the educational institution Laércio Wilson Barbalho Municipal School in Ananindeua - PA and its correlation with habitual physical activity and nutritional profile. METHODOLOGY: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study, conducted through an interview using a structured questionnaire for the evaluation of the following variables: schooling, gender, age, eating and leisure habits, collected through a 24-hour recall and physical activity questionnaires in the Physical Activity Questionnaire for Older Children (PAQ-C) and Physical Activity Questionnaire for Adolescents (PAQ-A). Weight and height were collected to calculate the body mass index (BMI) using a scale and a statometer. RESULTS: The study participants 266 students, with a mean age of 13.61 (±1.32), most females (51.9%), attended the ninth year (32.7%), had the ideal weight (46.2%) and was sufficiently active (52.3%), 45.2% of schoolchildren were overweight, 48.12% were insufficiently active, no relationship was observed between the above-normal body mass index (overweight and obesity) and the dietary profile in the population, no relationship was observed between the above-normal body mass index (overweight and obesity) and the level of physical activity in the population studied (Contingency coefficient=0.086, p=0.34), but a weak relationship was observed between the body mass index within normality (ideal weight) and the level of physical activity (Contingency coefficient=0.277, p<0.01). CONCLUSION: Approximately half of the participants were above the ideal weight. No relationship was found between overweight and food intake of students, but a relationship was evidenced between those with the ideal weight and the level of physical activity. A technical report was prepared with suggestions for changes in the physical education curriculum component, aiming to monitor and intervene in the level of physical activity and weight of students and proposing changes in life habits in order to minimize the possible future damage caused by overweight and inactivity.

O uso da metodologia da problematização na percepção do aluno de medicina: uma revisão integrativa
(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2022) Romeiro, Janaína Cunha; Matos, Haroldo José de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9830983900880582; Malcher, Claudia Marques Santa Rosa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0612844018713526; Paes, Andréa Luzia Vaz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4364540186589331; Vasconcelos, Sinaida Maria; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4767038085471534
Since new National Curriculum Guidelines have been introduced in the Medical Course in 2014, the Pedagogical Project has inserted medical students in the core of the teachinglearning process and the professor as a mediator in this process. The Medical under graduation Course then has the population health needs as curricular center axis, and in this sense, methods promoting effective participation of medical students to achieve knowledge and meet social demands are used. Furthermore, forming professionals under innovative approach, comprising theory and practice and enabling significant change in reality has been such a challenge for education in post-modern societies. For this purpose, new problematizers for education in Health are used as reference, such as the Maguerez Arch problematizing method, promoting students’ social, ethical and political potential. These students are taken to deeply observe reality and identify concerning issues in a creative reflexive-active process, altering this reality. The aim of this study is to carry out a narrative review upon the students’ perception facing problematizing methods, by making up the following issue: How is the students’ perception concerning problematizing methods in the Medical course formed? What are the potential and weaknesses identified by them using this method? A search for published papers was carried out at Academic Google Search and Scielo, using the labels “problematizing in medical teaching”, “medicine students’ perception towards problematizing use”. The research was carried out from 1999 to 2021. Papers in Portuguese language have been selected – Studies under qualitative, quantitative or hybrid methods. It was observed that the majority of students valued the use of the problematizing method and noticed the observation of reality and other stages of the Maquerez Arch enabled meaningful learning, as might as well a change for better performance scenarios. Some aspects have been pointed out as weaknesses in the method application: lack of preparation by the teaching staff in mediating the teaching-learning process, lack of professional valorization, structural differences and epidemiologic conditions differing from one community to another where the groups of students were acting in diverse scenarios.

The Multiprofessional Residency in Health (RMS) is a lato sensu postgraduate course and aims to train professionals to work in the SUS in a different way, as it develops interdisciplinary construction, teamwork and the reorientation of logics in these individuals. techno-assistance. Each course has its peculiarity, but assessment is an integral part of the teaching process. The evaluation of the residents must take place through the interaction between educators and the student, in a procedural way, seeking to identify problems that arise during the teaching-learning process and to solve them. The present study aimed to develop and validate a protocol to assess the clinical competences of residents of the Multiprofessional Urgency and Emergency Residency Program. This is a methodological study, of an applied nature, which included bibliographic research and a quantitative approach. The project was considered by the Research Ethics Committee of the University Center of the State of Pará (CESUPA) and approved under Nº 4,815,821, CAAE: 47940821.0.0000.5169. The doctor-patient relationship is a fundamental element in medicine and provides better adherence to treatment, better clinical outcomes and greater patient satisfaction. The ability to communicate and understand the other in different ways, perceive their needs and predict people's reactions, contributes to the success of this relationship. Empathy emerges as an important instrument for the construction of this bond, having been listed as a primordial element, impacting the health of the patient and the professional. This study aimed to know the level of empathy in medical students, from the assessment of patients and the self-assessment of students, through the application of the Jefferson Scale in two versions, for students and patients, and develop a workshop for teaching the empathy. The results obtained that in the students' self-assessment the general average of the total score reached a good score. Even so, the overall score attributed by the patients was higher than the result of the self-assessment carried out by the students, that is, correct empathy for the students reached a lower mean and a lower proportion when compared to the results of the patients. There was no statistically significant relationship between the dimensions of empathy and the sociodemographic variables, although the findings raised interesting questions. As an example, a perspective taking showing an increase in the more advanced semesters, while a dimension capable of putting itself in the patient's shoes, was more evident in the initial semesters. This indicates the need for new and ongoing research on empathy, especially on empathic dimensions and their possible correlations with variables that influence empathic behavior. The workshop proposed in this study, as a product, is intended to serve as an instrument for teaching empathy, using active methodologies, to be routinely performed during the student's course at the academy. An exercise, practical experience lived realistically.

(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021-02-19) Alcântara, Carolina Tavares de; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Tuji, Fabrício Mesquita; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8122254353290848; Nunes, Leonardo Mendes de Acatauassú; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3512764081076675; Caldato, Milena Coelho Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9477878606835309
Contrast media have been widely used since the 1950s to facilitate diagnostic imaging. Doctors in almost all specialties prescribe, administer or care for patients who have received some contrast medium. These differ in their chemical structure, applicability and adverse effects. Therefore, physicians should be minimally familiar with the pharmacology, administration, risks and adverse reactions associated with these agents. However, despite the emergence of evidence-based medicine, gaps in knowledge are still filled by tradition, experiences and “common sense”, giving rise to misunderstandings with the spread of myths. In this sense, this dissertation intends to evaluate the knowledge of physicians working in the state of Pará regarding adverse reactions to contrast media. Thus, an observational, analytical and cross-sectional study involving 48 physicians from different specialties, using a virtual questionnaire addressing prophylaxis, risk factors and conduct related to the development of adverse reactions to contrast media. The data were organized using Microsoft Excel® and afterwards, Cronbach's alpha and descriptive statistical analysis were performed, with a consistent answer of 0.700. The graphic analysis was performed in R and RStudio. The results indicated that all physicians agree that it is essential to question the patient's allergic history prior to the use of contrast, and 90% of them agree to question about iodine allergy. Before releasing any contrasted test, 75% request an allergist assessment when there is a history of allergy to seafood / iodine, and 86% agree that patients allergic to iodine are at increased risk for reactions to contrasts. And most doctors (86%) indicate pre-medication in those with a history of previous reaction to contrasts. It was concluded that the notion of allergies to seafood and, especially to iodine as significant risk factors for adverse reactions to contrast media, remains widespread. The act of inquiring about these allergic conditions before requesting imaging tests, as well as recurring indication of premedication may induce the idea that these situations are a potential risk to allergic reactions to contrast media, thus propagating the myth. Medical education is vital to stop the persistence of these mistakes.

Percepção das dificuldades de preceptor da atenção primária diante da avaliação formativa
(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Almeida, Cibele Maria de; Matos, Haroldo José de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9830983900880582
Introduction: medical schools have developed over time in an empirical way, based on beliefs and clinical observations without a scientific nature, which determined a need to standardize medical education. However, with modernity, medicine has been fragmenting, becoming reductionist. In this sense, the preceptor must be concerned mainly with clinical competence or with the teaching-learning aspects of professional development, favoring the acquisition of skills and competences by recent graduates, in real clinical situations, in the work environment itself, and create the necessary conditions. The aim of the present study is to assess the primary care preceptor's difficulties in performing formative assessment. The methodology used, such research is characterized as an observational, cross-sectional, prospective and analytical study, based on the collection of information through a questionnaire, with a quali-quantitative approach. The research was carried out with the preceptors and tutors of PET-Saúde Interdisciplinarities remotely due to the coronavirus pandemic that has devastated the world in this biennium (2020/2021) and that keeps us in social distance. The research period was from May 2020 to August 2020.Results: 2 categories were found that were subdivided into 3 classes each. The two categories, subdivided into 6 classes, were chosen based on the content analyzed and structured by the questions asked, seeking to answer each objective proposed by the research: class 1 related to teaching with 18.88%, class 2 Related to the PET preceptor with 14 .80%; class 3 Related to health education with 14.1%; class 4 Service-related with 18.8%; class 5 Related to the user with 14.8%; class 6 Related to the assessment with 19.5%. There is a gap between teaching and service and one of the factors that can be called an obstacle to continuing education is the organizational system of the health service, which is based on the productivity of procedures operational technicians, thus continuously absorbing professionals who end up neglecting updates relevant to their training. Thus, it is necessary that preceptors always seek permanent education through updates and guide tools that can permeate and guide them within this professional and pedagogical practice, for which we propose a booklet with quick access methodological tools, simple language and with step-by-step use, so that the preceptor/teacher can use it whenever it is convenient.

Introduction: Teaching by Competencies mobilizes Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes. In the medical field, it is important to define the competences necessary for a general practitioner, contributing to the training of professionals more prepared for the job. A competence matrix expresses the collective consensus about the essential content for the student, being an instrument able to guide the teaching-learning processes. Objective: To develop a proposal for a Matrix of Essential Clinical Competencies in the Area of Endocrinology and Metabolism for the General Practitioner, to be achieved at the end of the undergraduate course in Medicine. Methodology: For the accomplishment of this work, the Delphi methodology was applied, in order to obtain consensus about the Essential Clinical Competencies. The study was divided into four phases: bibliographic survey and construction of the Pilot Matrix; opinion consultation with 07 local judges; analysis of the results obtained after the 1st evaluation cycle and elaboration of a questionnaire for a 2nd evaluation cycle; application of the questionnaire, analysis of responses and preparation of the Final Competency Matrix. Results: The Pilot Matrix was composed of 23 competencies, defined based on the main sub-areas of Endocrinology and Metabology, covering Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes. After the 1st evaluation cycle, alterations were suggested in 14 competences, totaling 22 alteration proposals. After the 2nd evaluation cycle, there was consensus on 16 of the 22 suggested changes, 05 for Increasing the Complexity of Competence, 07 for Reducing the Complexity of Competence and 04 for Changing the Competence. There was no situation of Exclusion from Competence. Conclusion: The elaboration of a proposal for a Matrix of Essential Clinical Competencies in the Area of Endocrinology and Metabology for the General Practitioner, to be achieved at the end of the graduation in Medicine, is fundamental, due to the increasing frequency of endocrine and metabolic diseases in the world population, the shortage of specialists and the reduced amount of adequate material on the subject. In this way, the Matrix proposal contributes to contemporary medical education based on Competencies, as well as to the qualified teaching of Endocrinology in undergraduate Medicine.

The profession of caregiver for the elderly is an emerging profession, since the demand is due to the growing elderly population in the world. According to projections in 2060, the Brazilian elderly population should triple and represent about 25% of the population. However, the presence of caregivers who do not have qualifications is a problem, as this directly reflects on the ability to assess and diagnose the situation in which the elderly person is. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a printed instrument classifier for geriatric emergency care for caregivers of the elderly. The methodology of this study took place through a literature review of the last 10 years, aiming to elucidate the theme and thus based on the information obtained to build the printed instrument. The results showed that the applicability of educational instruments in health is of paramount importance, even for those who do not have training in the area, as is the reality of many caregivers in the country, so the instrument built was based on colors already used for a better understanding of the tool. We conclude that the applicability of the tool is easy to understand and can assist in the assessment and decision-making of caregivers, thus preventing the elderly from having adequate care and prognosis promptly.

(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Costa, Lorena de Almeida; Furlaneto, Ismari Perini; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9542085122721945; Teixeira, Renato da Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3506765836592906; Góes Júnior, Adenauer Marinho de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4029653381282393; Carvalho, Ana Emília Vita; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1981562999898097
Objective: to produce and validate an e-book for multidisciplinary action to critically ill patients in Emergency Care in the context of the Emergency and Emergency Multidisciplinary Residency Program in Trauma of the Metropolitan Hospital of Urgency and Emergency. Method: two questionnaires were applied to support the development of the e-book, it was a questionnaire with closed questions containing a brief characterization of the participants, professional training, higher degree, in addition to a question about their degree of satisfaction with theoretical knowledge -practical in the area covered, classified on a 4-point Likert scale, namely: 1=dissatisfied or 2=not very satisfied or 3=satisfied or 4=very satisfied or not applicable. The last question indicated the themes that were considered essential for multidisciplinary training, as well as a space for comments. Results: 31 volunteers participated in the study, from the areas of Physiotherapy (58.07%), Nursing (16.13%), Psychology (16.13%), Speech Therapy (6.45%) and Occupational Therapy (3.22%). Most residents graduated from the Program and had the specialization as the highest academic degree. As for the degree of satisfaction in relation to theoretical-practical knowledge in the care of critically ill patients in the Emergency Room (AP), 38.71% were little satisfied, 25.81% very satisfied, 25.81% satisfied and 3.22% revealed themselves dissatisfied; 6.45% answered that the question “was not applicable” to you. Regarding the contents listed by the participants as essential for multidisciplinary work in AP, 'Critical Patient Assessment and Scales' was chosen by 12.90%, those referring to 'Cardiorespiratory Arrest' by 41.93% and those referring to 'Insufficiency Respiratory' listed by 48.39%. Conclusion: theoretical learning cannot be separated from practical field learning. Therefore, we propose the production and validation of an e-book that helps multidisciplinary work to critically ill patients in emergency care in the context of the Multiprofessional Residency Program for Urgency and Emergency in Trauma at the Metropolitan Hospital of Urgency and Emergency. As benefits, we are able to produce material that meets the needs experienced in practice in the context of the Residency Program, in a format that is easy to consult and access, without intending to replace the basic literature in the area.

(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021-04-14) Rocha, Vanessa Campos Couto da; Nunes, Leonardo Mendes Acatauassú; Caldato, Milena Coelho Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9477878606835309; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3512764081076675; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Magno, Ismaelino Mauro Nunes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3841081216551678; Liberati, Rosana Maria Feio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3818175484709618
Introduction: Problem-Based Learning (PBL) has been the preferred teachinglearning methodology among medical schools in Brazil in recent years. Thereby, there is an increasing number of Medicine courses getting experience in this method, such as the Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará (CESUPA), which the twentieth class of Medicine concluded teaching by PBL in 2020. In this context, it is relevant the analysis of how this teaching has been carried out and how it has evolved over the years, especially in areas that are interrelated with various organic systems and that involve very prevalent pathologies and that will be conducted by Primary Care Physicians, as the case of Endocrinology and Metabolism (E/M). Objectives: To describe how cognitive aspects related to E/M teaching were worked by the PBL methodology from the first to the twentieth class of CESUPA Medicine course, identifying the moments of the course in which they were studied, pointing out the changes that occurred over time and analyzing if there was a distribution of the contents so that the themes were reviewed with increasing levels of complexity. In addition, it aimed to develop, at the end, a teaching guide proposal of E/M related themes for medical courses that will use active methodologies. Methodology: A review of 360 manuals used by tutors from the first to the eighth semester of the course, in its first 20 classes, was carried out. In these manuals, there were problems to be developed, with their respective learning objectives, in addition to the objectives of the morphofunctional laboratory. Then, a critical and descriptive analysis of the E/M content present in these manuals was carried out, evaluating how the evolution of this teaching occurred over the years. Finally, the proposal for the aforementioned guide was constructed. Results: It was observed that the themes related to the Endocrinological System are distributed throughout each of the first eight semesters of the course. The initial focus is on anatomy, histology and physiology, however, from the very beginning there are citations of the pathologies that affect this system, which allows contextualization and meaningful learning. Subsequently, the subjects are revisited with progressive deepening in relation to the management of patients. Over the years, there have been significant changes, especially in the detailing and standardization of the manuals, beyond description of well-defined objectives to be achieved in the morphofunctional laboratory. Discussion: The most cited endocrine theme among the manuals is Diabetes Mellitus, which is explained for being a very prevalent pathology with high morbidity. On the other hand, obesity, which has been steadily increasing in prevalence, has also shown a progressive increase in citations in the manuals over the years. Rare pathologies were in fact not prioritized as topics for discussion, however it is suggested to expand the presence among the problems of some frequent pathologies such as thyroid nodules. Conclusion: The teaching of E/M was carried out in a well distributed way over the first four years of the CESUPA Medicine course and the way of doing it evolved significantly during its first 20 classes.

Avaliação do processo ensino-aprendizagem do eletrocardiograma na graduação médica
(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Holanda, Vitor Bruno Teixeira de; Miranda, Ariney Costa de; Nunes, Leonardo Mendes Acatauassú; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3512764081076675; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0967752058385887; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Bacelar, Herick Pampolha Huet de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3310315262508382; Portella, Marcia Bitar; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9865172579876286
Medical teaching of the electrocardiogram is a worldwide challenge, there is still no methodology considered as the “gold standard”. With the advent of the new National Curricular Guidelines, the need to learn basic diagnostic methods is clear. General Objective: Evaluation of the methodology applied for teaching electrocardiogram interpretation, in the undergraduate medical course at Centro Universitário do Pará. Specific Objectives: To identify the teaching-learning process of the electrocardiogram in the 3rd semester of the CESUPA Medicine course. Describe, from observation, the methods used by teachers to teach the electrocardiogram within the Medical Pedagogical Project of CESUPA in the Clinical Skills Module of the 3rd semester. Develop an illustrated script based on the results obtained, which facilitates the understanding and learning of the ECG. Methodology: This is a descriptive, cross-sectional observational study, with a quantitative and qualitative approach. The present study observed a group from the Clinical Skills Discipline of the Medical Course of the University Center of the State of Pará (CESUPA), from the academic period of the 3rd semester, in which the teaching of the electrocardiogram is introduced. Data collection was performed through the application of the semi-structured, quantitative and qualitative questionnaire based on the Likert scale. The applied method was the triangulation of the perception of the observer, teachers and students. Results: In the students' responses, it can be seen that the percentage regarding the statement “if active methodology was applied during the teaching-learning process”, obtained a greater amount of concordant response 5 (63%) and 4 (15.79%). A higher percentage was obtained among the concordant responses, 5 (35.09) and 4 (31.58%), for the statement "there are stimuli for memorizing the measurement values", calling attention to the percentage of responses "I do not know how to give an opinion. as for the answers to affirmative “there is an emphasis on understanding the stimuli that give rise to electrocardiographic waves”, there was 91.22% disagreement. In the teachers' reply “was an active methodology applied during the teaching-learning process?”, There was a 100% response, I totally agree, and we had two justifications. The responses to statement 5 demonstrated the perception of not achieving the ideal result in the teaching-learning objective of the electrocardiogram. As for the observer: there was complete agreement with statements 2 and 3 only, completely disagreeing with the statement “the students demonstrate the ability to assess whether the ECG was well performed”. Conclusions: The search for better efficiency was evident, mixing traditional and active methods and tools, in the quest to achieve the pedagogical objectives. However, in the identification of the teaching-learning process, the ability to stimulate creation and evaluation in Bloom's taxonomy was lacking.
