To verify the use of carbohydrate-based supplementation in physical activity practitioners. This study is defined as Systematic Literature Review. The databases used for the construction of the work were Academic Google, Scientific Electronic Library Online -Scielo and Capes Journal Portal. It is noted that, in relation to the research subjects, they prefer the use of supplements to improve physical performance, to compensate for nutritional deficiencies, disease prevention. After analyzing and understanding the articles that make up the work, it could be concluded that countless individuals who practice physical activities (whether sportspeople and/or professional athletes) use carbohydrate-based supplements.Item Estado nutricional e qualidade alimentar de nutrizes: uma revisão bibliográfica(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Costa, Keren Nascimento; Luz, Marcela Silveira da; Ozela, Cilea Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3869556585803094; Figueiredo, Sandra Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8530470051297070; Moura, Carla Acatauassú Ferreira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4504006993667915The breastfeeding phase is the period when the woman is in an intense metabolic process state, and it is necessary to offer proper nutritional assistance in order to meet her needs, because the choices and food intake will influence her physiological state significantly. Therefore, the objective of this study was to perform a literature review about the nutritional status and quality of the diet of nursing mothers in the last 5 years. In order to do so, researches in databases such as Scientific Eletronic Library Online - Scielo, PubMed, National Center for Biotechnology Information – NCBI and Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES journal portal, were made. Articles published within 2015 to 2020, that addressed the theme: nutritional status of nursing mothers and the characteristic of their diet, were selected. In order to obtain a better understanding, the articles selected were gathered and the data were organized in charts consisting of title, the year and country of the research, objective and main conclusions of each study. In this work, it was possible to verify that in all studies, the majority of nursing mothers were overweight or obese, and in relation to quality of the nursing mothers’ diets, in most studies the interviewees were not eating properly. In view of the points presented, it is noticeable the importance of the role of the health professional in relation to the care of the woman before and after labor. Hence, it is highlighted the need for more works addressing the theme, because this way it is possible to better understand the reality of the population and scientifically comprehend its aspects, so that a better multi-professional attendance is performed.Item Efeitos do consumo do chá verde (Camellia Sinensis) em praticantes de exercício físico(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Souza, Marina dos Santos Duarte de; Ribeiro, Joseana Moreira Assis; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5745114474901440; Ozela, Cilea Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3869556585803094; Silva, Josiana Kely Rodrigues Moreira da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6027175757194452Green tea is currently the most consumed beverage in the world, after water, several researches show a variety of beneficial effects concomitant with the regular consumption of green tea, mainly in the prevention of some pathologies such as cancer, vascular disorders, obesity and inflammation. The tea, obtained from the Camellia sinensis plant, contains several phytochemical compounds in its leaves with important health benefits. Among these, the catechins for their antioxidant action. The objective of this work is to analyze the effects of green tea (Camellia Sinensis) consumption in exercisers.Literatures show that the consumption of green tea combined with the practice of physical exercise helps in greater gain in lean mass and greater loss of fat compared to the practice of isolated physical exercise, in addition to increasing muscle strength, when consumed before the practice. The study is a type of bibliographic research. Concluding that further research studies in this area are needed to cover technical knowledge and research levels, however, according to the literature and researched studies, sufficient intake of green tea extract, in combination with exercise, and especially a proper diet and accompanied by a qualified professional, can improve the capacity of resistance, modulating the lipid metabolism and thus helping to control weight and body composition.Item Consumo alimentar de gestantes de alto risco: uma revisão integrativa da literatura(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Costa, Elaini dos Santos da; Rosa, Rayssa Teixeira; Ozela, Cilea Maria dos Santos; Almeida, Viviane dos Santos Viana de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2965839727561530; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3869556585803094; Figueiredo, Sandra Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8530470051297070; Moura, Carla Acatauassú Ferreira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4504006993667915Appropriate availability of nutrients and a balanced diet are essential for the gestational period (FERNANDES, 2019). Search in literature for results that discuss about the pattern of eating habits in high-risk pregnancy. A review research was made in the databases of MEDLINE (International Literature in Health Sciences); LILACS – Latin-American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences; Cochrane Collaboration PMC (PubMed Central); Scielo; Virtual Health Library (BVS) and Google Scholar. As an inclusion criterion, articles published in full, online, in Portuguese and English in the period from January 2015 to 2021, were selected. As exclusion criterion, articles not relevant to the research for the defined descriptors. At first, 151 articles were found, among those, 9 which met the research objective, were selected. From the results, it was possible to notice that eating habits influence the mother’s health during the gestational period, and also the baby’s health in a short or long term. The study allowed us to verify that the variety of articles covering the specific objectives of the research is relatively low, which are based on relating food consumption with the complications that arise during pregnancy and understanding the importance of nutritional status during this period. Among the articles found, the most mentioned complications were Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) and Pregnancy-Specific Hypertensive Disease (DHEG). Therefore, based on the assessment of these data, it is plausible to state that the presence of healthy eating habits during the gestational period are extremely important to prevent the development of gestational complications.Item Desmame precoce: causas e consequências na vida do lactente: revisão de literatura(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Moura, Lana Tayná de Oliveira Tolkesdorf; Ozela, Cilea Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3869556585803094; Figueiredo, Sandra Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8530470051297070; Almeida, Viviane dos Santos Viana de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2965839727561530Breast milk is considered the ideal food for babies as it meets all their nutritional and physiological needs, reducing morbidity and mortality in the first phase of life. Although daily scientific studies prove its effectiveness, only 39% of babies up to six months are exclusively breastfed worldwide. The interruption of EBF within the first 6 months of the baby's life is pointed out as the concept of early weaning. Identify the factors that influence the occurrence of early weaning. The present work can be defined as a systematic literature review. For the execution of the work, searches were carried out for original scientific articles and books on breastfeeding, breastfeeding, breast milk, human milk and early weaning. Of the 61 articles used in the construction of the work, 13.11% had outcomes that demonstrate relevance for responding to the general and specific objective, both established at its beginning. By analyzing the studies, it is possible to say that early weaning is still prevalent and may be caused by several factors that are closely linked to the breastfeeding woman. The present work, through the scientific bias, finds that several factors contribute to the occurrence of the interruption of exclusive breastfeeding, causing the infant to wean early.Item Dieta vegetariana e sua relação na performance de atletas(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Barros, Ana Beatriz Monteiro; Pereira, Bárbara Maria Santos; Ribeiro, Joseana Moreira Assis; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5745114474901440; Ozela, Cilea Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3869556585803094; Silva, Josiana Kely Rodrigues Moreira da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6027175757194452For many years, the vegetarian diet was seen as insufficient and incomplete, because it excluded animal proteins from the menu. At the same time, there were already followers, including high performance athletes, who adopted the ideology, with the advent and strengthening of the media and scientific works, who came to prove that it is possible to stay healthy, hypertrophy, lose weight or gain weight following the diet vegetarian. We carry out a basic, descriptive and bibliographic research by gathering existing and published information and data. The work aims to verify the relationship between vegetarian diet and performance in athletes, being the deductive method, being a basic, descriptive, bibliographical and analytical research, being categorized in review. The result was that, if the athlete enjoys an adequate and harmonious vegetarian diet, he can have the same performance results as non-vegetarian athletes. From this article, it is concluded that vegetarian diets are safe and effective for athletes when performed along with nutritional guidance. The present work proposes a new nutritional perspective, exposing in a functional and didactic way the vegetarian diet in athletics.Item Desenvolvimento de tecnologia educativa para pessoas com doença renal crônica em hemodiálise(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Ferreira, Diane Vitória Lopes; Matos, Quédema Bianca Sousa; Figueiredo, Sandra Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8530470051297070; Sirotheau, Ana Cláudia Araújo Dinelly; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1157003247383282; Almeida, Viviane dos Santos Viana de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2965839727561530Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is the permanent loss of kidney function, recognized as a global public health problem. Hemodialysis, in turn, is a type of dialysis treatment that adopts renal replacement therapy (RRT), which uses a artificial membrane as a filter. To develop an educational technology for support the nutritional care of people with Chronic Kidney Disease, who are in hemodialysis treatment. A qualitative survey of the descriptive-exploratory was carried out. The survey was conducted in February 2021 at the Clinic Uronefro, after approval by the Ethics and Research Committee (ERC) of the University Center of the State of Pará (CESUPA). Twenty patients from the clinic, adults, who had been undergoing hemodialysis for at least 6 months. It was possible to notice that most participants were male in the age range of 41 to 50, 60% were unemployed, 35% presented family income higher than 5,000 and high school of complete education. Regarding nutritional guidance, it was possible to reveal that 100% of patients received guidance by a professional Nutritionist, and guidance given was the reduction in the intake of foods rich in potassium, phosphorus, sodium and liquids, but they still had doubts about some nutrients, preparations and foods. Later, they were asked if they were afraid of consuming any food and 65% answered yes and the most cited foods were shrimp and crab, starfruit and red meat. The present study has assessed the knowledge of the patient's experimented with feeding on dialysis, so the data has served as a subsidy for the digital-shared scale, material was designed in a didactic form, facilitating understanding, aiding to bring knowledge and more options for the proper feed.Item Conhecimento sobre boas práticas por manipuladores de um lactário de um hospital público em Belém-PA(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Silva, Luana Freitas e; Ozela, Cilea Maria dos Santos; Figueiredo, Sandra Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8530470051297070; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3869556585803094; Silva, Suely Maria Ribeiro da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2211014646147942; Gaspar, Daniela Pinheiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9245835771527449The aim of this study was to evaluate the knowledge about good practices of handlers in a lactation service in Belém PA. It was evident to analyze that most handlers have knowledge in the items handling and personal hygiene, use of protective equipment. They showed insufficient knowledge, difficulties in understanding the conservation of formulas. Therefore, despite having a certain knowledge, it is necessary to observe, if there is the execution of the activities in practice, they are carried out properly. Continuous monitoring is necessary. And soon the correction of inadequacies being indispensable when necessary.Item Rotulagem nutricional de barras de chocolate ‘’Bean To Bar’’ com diferentes porcentagens de cacau(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Lima, Gabriela Borsero; Gaspar, Daniela Pinheiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9245835771527449; Diogo, Andrea Nilza Melo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7046331651654191; Silva, Suely Maria Ribeiro da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2211014646147942The industrialization of food systems together with the need for product regulation and minimization of customs barriers for food products becomes essential to guarantee their quality and, when combined with nutrition labeling, results in a measure of health education, aiming to generate greater consumer autonomy and guaranteeing their right to information with the perspective of preserving individual and collective health. Given the economic and social importance of cocoa in the state of Pará and the need to strengthen enterprises that value the Amazon, this study aimed to establish mandatory nutritional labeling of ''Bean to bar’' chocolate bars with different cocoa contents from an artisan chocolate factory located in the municipality of Ananindeua - PA. Three different batches of chocolates with different cocoa contents (50%, 60%, 70% and 80%) were analyzed in triplicate, and the moisture, ash, crude protein, total lipids, carbohydrates and sodium contents of the four bars were verified. Based on the analysis carried out and rules established by the food legislation, it was possible to establish mandatory nutritional labeling of products, including nutritional table, labeling words, ingredients list, batch identification, health claims and frontal labeling.Item Alterações nutricionais em pacientes oncológicos hospitalizados: um estudo de revisão(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Mendonça, Luana Reis; Vasconcellos, Vitória Cristina de Matos; Campos, Jamilie Suelen dos Prazeres; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4508719756740232; Figueiredo, Sandra Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8530470051297070; Marques, Simone do Socorro Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0651248478895645This study consists of a review of nutritional risk indicators in hospitalized cancer patients. It aims to analyze the indicators of nutritional risk in hospitalized cancer patients as well as to identify the prevalence of nutritional risk among cancer patients and investigate the factors that may be related to the nutritional risk of these patients. The methodology was carried out through a descriptive study, literature review in Portuguese and English. The search was carried out from March to May 2021, for articles published from 2011 to 2021. As a result, it was found that most studies indicated more than 40% of nutritional risk, this is because patients do notfeed enough to meet their energy needs, which can be due to a series of factors, such as the underlying disease, pain, nausea, vomiting, anxiety, inappetence, dysphagia, depression, functional incapacity, aggressive treatments and even the hospital environment. Furthermore, when they affect the digestive tract, they increase the risk of malnutrition, mainly due to the low food intake resulting from symptoms and the presence of cancer, often of an obstructive nature. Therefore, through the results of several studies analyzed, it was concluded that nutritional risk and malnutrition are prevalent conditions in hospitalized cancer patients, thus observing a high percentage, due to several factors found. World Health Organization (WHO) says that aging is a slow and gradual process that happens irreversibly and that reduces the organic capacity to physiological stress. To know the physical and functional status of elderly people and their relationship with physical exercise. The study was a type of narrative bibliographic research, as it is characterized by the use of information, knowledge and data already collected by people demonstrated in different ways, such as documents, books, and the following databases were used: Scielo, Pubmed and Lilacs, with filters for publication date, article type and text availability. As a result, 223 articles were found in total, of which 176 were excluded and 47 included, among which there is not a large number of studies relating the physical status of elderly people with the practice of physical exercise, but rather its functionality with the practice of physical activity. In this way, the research made it possible to conclude that currently the physical state has given way to functionality in the routine of the elderly as the main focus of the scientific academic environment, but that there is a scientifically proven effectiveness of the combination between the practice of physical exercise and healthy eating for the benefit of human health, in old age and in all stages of life.Item Alterações nutricionais em indivíduos com SIDA em utilização de terapia antirretroviral(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Paixão, Wellington Felipe Coelho; Marques, Simone do Socorro Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0651248478895645; Campos, Jamilie Suelen dos Prazeres; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4508719756740232; Moura, Carla Acatauassú Ferreira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4504006993667915Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is characterized as a chronic clinical manifestation caused by the human immunodeficiency virus. The use of antiretroviral therapy has drastically decreased mortality and opportunistic infections, on the other hand, is strongly associated with metabolic and functional changes in the body, including HIV lipodystrophic syndrome, which causes dyslipidemias, glycemic and morphological changes, with changes in body fat distribution, as well as altered hormone levels and higher risks of developing chronic non-communicable diseases. To identify anatomical, metabolic and nutritional changes in individuals with AIDS in antiretroviral therapy. Systematic searches of Original Scientific Articles, Dissertations and Theses on Nutritional Status and biochemical alterations of AIDS carriers using antiretroviral therapy were carried out to perform the study, Lipodystrophic Syndrome and HIV published between 2010 and 2021, in the Portuguese, English and Spanish descriptors. When carrying out the research with the descriptors detailed in the methodology and in the described languages, 86 articles were found from which, after the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 8 articles were selected, in which it was possible to observe that most of the men evaluated were eutrophic and women were overweight, in addition to the high risk for metabolic complications due to the high cholesterol and triglyceride levels caused by the advance of infection and HAART in 50% of the evaluated patients. It was also observed that individuals with HIV are more susceptible to glycemic alterations and lipodystrophic syndrome, especially in females. Nutritional changes resulting from the use of ART are common and should be detected early through nutritional evaluation for treatment.Item Estado nutricional e inflamatório de pacientes com doença renal crônica em estágio inicial de hemodiálise e após seis meses de tratamento(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Goldim, Tainah Ratis; Figueiredo, Sandra Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8530470051297070; Almeida, Viviane dos Santos Viana de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2965839727561530; Mori, Rejane Maria Sales Cavalcante; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0068497734511867Non-communicable chronic diseases have grown in recent years, and with it kidney disease due to the prevalence of diabetes and high blood pressure. This can be acute or chronic, the first being reversible and the second irreversible, where the patient needs renal replacement therapy. With the progression of the disease, the nutritional and inflammatory status are compromised. Diet therapy is one of the main pillars for the treatment and control of the disease. To identify the nutritional status and laboratory tests of chronic kidney patients undergoing hemodialysis at baseline and after six months of treatment. Characterize the studied population. Identify associated diseases presented by chronic kidney patients on hemodialysis. Assess the nutritional and inflammatory status of chronic kidney patients and their relationship with the duration of hemodialysis. Analyze laboratory tests performed at the beginning and after six months of treatment. The research was of a quantitative descriptive cross-sectional type, took place in a private hemodialysis clinic in Belém and electronic medical records of adults and elderly of both genders who were in the beginning of hemodialysis treatment from January to August 2020 were evaluated with survey of height, weight, biochemical tests and associated diseases. The medical records of 30 patients were evaluated, 70% male, 50% presenting associated SAH and DM as the main comorbidity. Regarding nutritional status, the highest prevalence among the elderly was underweight with 43%, followed by eutrophic status with 38% and, in relation to adults, eutrophic status had the highest amount with 44%, followed by overweight with 33 % after six months of treatment. In addition, there was no significant difference, as the p-value was 0.0654 and 0.6768 between the nutritional and inflammatory status when compared to the reference values, but there was a change in the nutritional status after six months of treatment for some patients . For some tests, the result was significant, such as for hematocrit, albumin and calcium, which had a p-value <0.0001, hemoglobin with a p-value of 0.0005, pre urea with a p-value of 0.0320 and PCR with p -value of 0.0037. The assessment was significant for some indicators, but it would need to increase the variable length of treatment in order to be able to more accurately monitor the evolution of these patients.Item Elaboração de tecnologia educativa sobre o método Babylead Weaning (BLW) para profissionais de saúde: produção baseado em evidências científicas(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Andrade, Arielle Cristiana Nogueira de; Figueiredo, Sandra Maria dos Santos; Sirotheau, Ana Cláudia Araújo Dinelly; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1157003247383282; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8530470051297070; Ozela, Cilea Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3869556585803094; Almeida, Viviane dos Santos Viana de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2965839727561530The Baby-Lead Weaning (BLW) method was devised by the British researcher and nurse Gill Rapley, who defends the offer of solid foods to the baby, presented in the form of sticks or sticks since the beginning of complementary feeding (CA). According to Rapley, BLW is a method that encourages parents to trust the infant's innate ability to self-feed. The choice of how and how much to eat the foods offered is made by the child more actively, without direct interference from the caregiver, taking advantage of the baby's curiosity and exploration phase. To develop an educational manual on the Baby-Lead Weaning (BLW) method for health professionals. The methodology applied was qualitative, divided into three stages, integrative literature review, summary of knowledge and production of educational technology. The construction of the technology was carried out from the survey of evidence through an integrative review. 136 works were found, after reading the abstracts, 123 were excluded that did not address the focus of the theme and the repeated ones, and 12 works were then selected. After summary, 6 main themes were identified: appropriation of knowledge by professionals, necessary knowledge, lack of knowledge, risk/disadvantages of choosing the BLW method and benefits of using the method, and to favor the correct handling food introduction with the BLW method the final step was the production of the manual. It is considered that the manual built for guidance on the BLW method, serves as an educational support for health professionals, especially the nutritionist of primary health care (PHC), in the introduction of complementary feeding.Item Aspectos nutricionais e a relação com a alimentação complementar de crianças e lactentes(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Meyer, Ana Luiza Lisboa; Moura, Carla Acatauassú Ferreira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4504006993667915; Sirotheau, Ana Cláudia Araújo Dinelly; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1157003247383282; Ozela, Cilea Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3869556585803094The quality of human nutrition since its introduction reflects in all stages of life and to understand the importance of complementary food, it is necessary to know the relationship of this factor with the nutritional status of children. To present a literature review that addresses the relationship between nutritional aspects and complementary feeding for children and infants. Longitudinal descriptive bibliographic review, using articles indexed in the electronic databases National Library of Medicine (Medline, USA), Scielo, Pubmed, Academic Google, Capes, published in Portuguese and English. The review was restricted to studies published in children that included the key words proposed by the author and the 12-year-old temporariness. Of the articles selected according to the inclusion criteria, it was observed that there is a negative association between the early consumption of processed foods and changes in the nutritional status of infants and children, as well as the technique and management for which this diet is offered. It is possible to conclude that the feeding phases represent important moments for the development of metabolic alterations and in the quality of child growth and development, and may contribute to the appearance of chronic non-communicable diseases in the long term.Item A prevalência do aleitamento materno em recém-nascidos pré-termo e suas dificuldades: revisão integrativa da literatura(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2022) Souza, Ana Carolina Neves de; Pires, Mikelly Britto; Ozela, Cilea Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3869556585803094; Almeida, Viviane dos Santos Viana de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2965839727561530; Figueiredo, Sandra Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8530470051297070Exclusive Breastfeeding (EBF) until the sixth month of life, recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), is the ideal food for promoting healthy growth and development. Especially when it comes to preterm newborns (PTNBs), they are the ones who benefit most from breastfeeding. However, despite presenting several benefits, breastfeeding has not yet reached the recommended and expected rate in Brazil, a fact that can be explained by the limitations and difficulties of newborns and mothers. Therefore, the general objective of this study was to identify the prevalence of breastfeeding in preterm newborns. Therefore, through an integrative literature review, searches were carried out for articles published in the last ten years, in the following databases: Scielo, LILACS and PubMed, using the descriptors "Breastfeeding in premature newborns", "Early weaning" , "Breastfeeding difficulties in preterm infants" and "Prevalence of breastfeeding in preterm infants". Initially, 430 articles were found, after reading the abstracts, 45 articles were selected. Those selected in full, who answered the guiding questions, totaled 13. From the results found, it was observed that there are a decrease in the prevalence of breastfeeding in preterm infants, especially after hospital discharge. Difficulties such as physiological immaturity, fear, insecurity, lack of early contact between mother and child, factors that compromise the structure of the breast and lack of guidance were the most reported for breastfeeding. Factors such as cesarean delivery, duration of mechanical ventilation, double pregnancy, extreme prematurity, greater complications during hospitalization, use of pacifiers and younger age of mothers were identified as risk factors for the interruption of breastfeeding in premature infants. Support strategies for mothers, from prenatal care to post-discharge follow-up, are still needed. In addition to the training of health professionals, in order to develop an empathetic look at the situation experienced by the mother, to support and assist them efficiently.Item Alimentação para prevenção do câncer de mama: produção de uma tecnologia educacional(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2022) Gonçalves, Maria Helena Monteiro; Moraes, Yasmin de Fatima Brito de Oliveira; Figueiredo, Sandra Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8530470051297070; Mori, Rejane Maria Sales Cavalcante; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0068497734511867; Almeida, Viviane dos Santos Viana de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2965839727561530According to the Ministry of Health, cancer (CA) derives from multiple cumulative effects, due to disordered cell growth in the presence of neoplastic agents, as normal cells multiply naturally, responding to the body's needs, cancerous grow uncontrollably, forming abnormal cells, invading and compromising organs and tissues. Nutrition can be a great ally in preventing the development of the disease, since the consumption of foods rich in fiber, vegetables, fruits and “good” fats is a preventive factor, but it can be considered a risk factor, if the consumption of processed foods, deli meats, red meat, among others, is excessive. To develop an educational technology (ET) for users of primary health care on food for the prevention of breast cancer. Review study with a qualitative approach, carried out through methodological development, divided into two stages: integrative literature review (ILR) and production of ET, which is a digital booklet. The protective factors identified were the consumption of natural or minimally processed foods, such as vegetables, fruits, grains, seasonings and spices. It is known that the diagnosis of diabetes can impact the quality of life due to changes in the routine that the elderly have. This study aims to relate the nutritional status with the perception of quality of life of elderly patients diagnosed with diabetes mellitus. This is a cross-sectional quantitative study carried out with 41 elderly people in a teaching clinic. Four instruments were used for data collection: a socioeconomic questionnaire, a data collection protocol and the B-PAID and WHOQOL-BREF scales to assess quality of life. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics using mean and standard deviation. Most of the elderly analyzed are aged between 60 and 69 years (63.4%), are female (53.7%), married (48.8%), studied up to elementary school (65.9%) and have an income of up to 1 minimum wage (51.2%). Regarding nutritional status, most are overweight (61%). In assessing quality of life using the B-PAID, the largest dimensions observed were food and emotional. In the WHOQOL-BREF, the major domains were psychological and personal relationships. There was no significant association between the perception of quality of life and the nutritional status of elderly people with diabetes, noting that most of the elderly diabetic participants have a good quality of life, even living with diabetes.Item Estado nutricional de crianças menores de doze anos portadoras de leucemia: uma revisão bibliográfica(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2022) Silva, Gabrieli Pantoja Soares da; Barbosa, Lavínia Souza; Ozela, Cilea Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3869556585803094; Figueiredo, Sandra Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8530470051297070; Moura, Carla Acatauassú Ferreira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4504006993667915Leukemia corresponds to the most common type of cancer in childhood. According to data from the National Cancer Institute (INCA). Leukemias account for 33% of all malignant diseases affecting children, and are thus the most common disease in the world. When it comes to leukemia in pediatric cancer patients, cases of malnutrition correlate with the higher number of infection, greater likelihood of recurrences, lower therapeutic response and lower survival rates, such as the early diagnosis of childhood cancer, is essential for the chances of healing and the percentage of survival to be greater. Thus, the nutritional status of children under 12 years old with leukemia and to indicate how nutritional risk factors may affect the treatment of children. Therefore, through a qualitative literature review, descriptive and explanatory type, searches were made through scientific articles published in recognized platforms and that make available up to date information on the subject under study. Based on the results found, the studies demonstrate that the eating habits adopted by children in treatment of leukemia, are influencing nutritional risk factors. These influences originated from the habits related to the period of treatment of leukemia.Item Incentivo ao aleitamento materno: elaboração de uma tecnologia educacional para gestantes(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2022) Morais, Thaissa Ferreira; Figueiredo, Sandra Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8530470051297070; Ozela, Cilea Maria dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3869556585803094; Gaspar, Daniela Pinheiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9245835771527449Exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) is a fundamental measure to protect and promote health. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) have made efforts to protect, promote and support EBF, so that mothers can establish and maintain this practice until the recommended period. The work in question had the objective of producing a game-like educational technology for pregnant women, with a view to encouraging EBF. Descriptive, qualitative research, carried out in two stages, initially there was an integrative literature review and then the development of the game entitled “Amor de Peito”. From the synthesis of scientific evidence it was possible to identify the factors that lead to early weaning, which were: the use of bottles and pacifiers, breast complications, return to work or studies, early food introduction, low milk production and the belief in weak milk. Such axes-themes guided the elaboration of the game, with important information for the pregnant women's knowledge. The production of evidence-based educational technology proved to be a successful strategy for the development of a tool to prevent early weaning to mediate health education practices.
