Resumo

Objective: The objective of this article is to analyze the risk factors and incidence of musculoskeletal pain in military police officers. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review, which searched for articles published in the following databases: Pubmed; Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO); Secad Artmed Panamericana; Brazilian Journal of Development; Research, Society and Development, Virtual Health Library, from 2017 to 2023. Results: 15 articles were selected that were related to the objective and within the inclusion criteria, that is, articles in English and Portuguese from 2018 to 2023. Conclusion: Military Police officers present elements that affect their physical, mental and emotional health, such as lack of adequate rest, poor quality of sleep, an unrecommended anthropometric index and lack of regular physical activity. The biggest causes of absence and pain and injury rates are orthopedic disorders in the knee and lower back, which is related to the high number of recruitments of the lower limbs during the military career.
