A avaliação termográfica como recurso auxiliar no diagnóstico fisioterapêutico frente a queixas álgicas nos membros inferiores de corredores de rua amadores

Abstract

Introduction: A survey addresses the growing popularity of street running as an accessible and low-cost sport, especially among men and women. Method: This is a cross-sectional observational research, with a quantitative and descriptive approach, regarding thermographic evaluation in the lower limbs of amateur street runners, with amateur athletes from the group of papão leguas runners, evaluated at the Cesupa physiotherapy clinic. Results: In the research, the audience was 30 athletes, mostly men (60%), with the majority of participants having moderate pain intensity (76%), with the main pain complaint being the knee joint (40%). According to the thermographic evaluation, the majority did not present a risk of injury. Conclusion: Research shows that thermography is associated with the reference of pain complaints in runners, which favors physiotherapeutic assessment and diagnosis.
