This excessive concern with appearance results in considerable distress, which in turn substantially impacts daily activities and social relationships. The objective of this study was to conduct a qualitative investigation to identify the primary challenges faced by psychologists and to describe the strategies they employ in clinical management, with the aim of understanding their impact and effectiveness. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with four psychologists, each with a minimum of six months of experience in managing cases related to BDD. The research adopted a multiple case study methodology, analyzing events within their real contexts, thereby capturing the complexity of the process through a qualitative approach. The analysis addressed topics such as misinformation and the family environment, body image and social media, clinical approaches to treatment, and the use of scales. Thus, it is concluded that due to the inherent complexity of the participants' experiences, this approach facilitated a more in-depth reflection on the subject, thereby contributing to the advancement of knowledge and the enrichment of the existing literature.Item O cinema na graduação de psicologia: uma perspectiva analítica sob o olhar dos autores Sigmund Freud e Carl Jung(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023) Carvalho, Daniella Freitas de; Lobo, Raphaela Pontes; Cruz, Edson Júnior Silva da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0227617708373838Cinema in undergraduate psychology: an analytical perspective under the eyes of authors Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung, is a theme that relates the Seventh Art with analytical psychology, linking concepts developed by the aforementioned authors to what happens on a movie screen. Over time, beauty standards and the perception of the female body have undergone significant transformations. Historically, different cultural and social periods have shaped and redefined these standards, reflecting the predominant norms and values of each era, with these being particularly evident in the 21st century with the rise of social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. The aim of this cross-sectional study was to investigate the influence of these social networks on the perception of female body image and the risk factors for eating disorders in 115 young adult Brazilian women. A quantitative applied method was used, employing an authorial form based on the BSQ-34, EAT-26 instruments, and DSM-V criteria. The statistical results of this study suggest evidence that body dissatisfaction caused by the constant pursuit of beauty standards, pressure regarding body image, and changes in eating habits may be directly associated with the use of the researched social media platforms, along with the consumption of related media content and the symptomatology of eating disorders.Item Cultura organizacional e o planejamento estratégico: uma revisão integrativa(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-09-04) Cardoso, Vitória Gouvêa de Moraes; Garcia, Isabeli Cunha; Maestri, Thrissy Collares; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5844557306696174; Cruz, Tereza Cristina Ribeiro Anaisse; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8806108922517025; Mescouto, Wandria de Andrade; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4988847388253065In the 1970s, amid economic crises, strategic planning emerged as a guide for organizational decisions and is now essential for addressing market competitiveness, being interconnected with various elements, including organizational culture. The latter is fundamental in the construction and functioning of institutions, shaping attitudes, practices, and workplace relations. Despite its proven relevance, the relationship between organizational culture and strategic planning remains unclear in the literature. Therefore, it is crucial to understand the joint dynamics of these elements. This study investigates this relationship, aiming to understand how culture influences strategic decisions and contributes to the success or failure of strategic plans, as well as how strategic planning can influence organizational culture. An integrative literature review was conducted using the databases Scielo, Periódicos Capes, Google Scholar, LILACS, PubMed, and Pepsic. Data collection utilized the descriptors "Organizational Culture" and "Strategic Planning" in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, considering articles published between 2018 and 2023. Qualitative analysis of the results was performed through Narrative Synthesis. The research revealed that the relationship between these two elements is reciprocal and complex, suggesting that a well-aligned organizational culture can enhance the success of strategies, while well-defined strategies can reinforce or transform the existing culture. These findings highlight the need for a deeper understanding of this dynamic to ensure organizational effectiveness.Item Dependência emocional em relacionamentos amorosos heterossexuais: uma comparação entre a vivência de mulheres brancas e negras cisgênero(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-10-05) Santos, Gabriela Falcão Costa dos; Maciel, Julia Vasconcelos; Silva, Laila Mendes; Hage, Zakiee Castro Mufarrej; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0593579703870586Since childhood, individuals are inserted in relationships of emotional dependence with their parental figures, who are responsible for creating a healthy environment for this development. However, dysfunctional development at this stage has an influence on marital relationships in adult life; In the present study, an overview of sociocultural changes and their consequences was highlighted: construction of the female gender; racial issues; beauty standards; loneliness of black women; gender violence. Through the theme addressed, the existence of the phenomenon of emotional dependence was investigated based on the experiences of white and black women in romantic relationships, based on exploratory descriptive research, analyzing multiple cases. The research was carried out in two phases: the first included an exploratory digital questionnaire to collect socio demographic data; in the second stage of the study, it consisted of a virtual questionnaire with subjective questions, carried out online. The study had six women interviewed, three black and three white, and, when analyzing the research results, it was expected to find differences in their perceptions of cisgender heterosexual romantic relationships, however there were significant similarities in the women's reports. The sample explored the participant´s experiences of emotional dependence and investigated how the literature describes the problems in the romantic relationships of women who became dependent on their partners. Furthermore, they all reported having experienced emotional dependence, suffering some type of violence, and highlighted the sociocultural influences on the male figure and how this can reflect on these relationships.Item Dependência tecnológica e habilidades sociais em jovens universitários(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-09-04) Oliveira, Camila Chermont Azevedo de; Pimentel, Ysabelle Pinheiro; Maestri, Thrissy Collares; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5844557306696174; Coêlho, Nilzabeth Leite; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9490576254567337; Martins, Lana Cristina Cardoso de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3486275002695395Technological dependency is defined by the compulsive use of electronic devices, leading to significant disruptions in essential life domains, such as interpersonal relationships, academic or work performance, and physical health. Therefore, it is crucial to implement programs that offer legal and psychosocial support, aiming at the social reintegration of individuals. This debate is essential in psychology, focusing on individual understanding beyond the legal context. Objective: To conduct a review of the integrative literature and current legislation regarding the role of forensic psychologists in the resocialization of people with schizophrenia, who are hospitalized and/or reside in public treatment institutions. Methodology: A qualitative analysis was carried out of materials found in databases such as Google Scholar, Scielo and other journals and repositories, published between 2014 and 2023. The studies used descriptors such as "schizophrenia and resocialization", "schizophrenia and rehabilitation", "resocialization and legal psychology", "custody hospitals and psychology", "schizophrenia and custody hospitals" and "integration and custody hospitals", combined with the Boolean term "and". Discussion: It was demonstrated that human rights are not being preserved in Custody Hospitals, making it difficult for individuals with schizophrenia to obtain adequate treatment. The treatment of individuals with schizophrenia in resocialization should be comprehensive, involving psychotherapy, medication, art therapy, psychoeducation and assessment of dangerousness, among other strategies. Conclusion: This study highlights the urgency of reforming custodial hospitals in Brazil to effectively integrate them into mental health policies and improve the resocialization of people with schizophrenia. In addition, it is necessary to develop more up-to-date studies on psychological strategies that would be efficient for this population during this process of social reintegration.Item Foi o boto ou o homem: uma revisão narrativa sobre os impactos psicoemocionais e socioculturais da lenda do boto em mulheres ribeirinhas vítimas de estupro(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-09-03) Faria, Ana Gabriela Damasceno; Reis, José de Arimateia Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3976380225171903; Hage, Zakiee Castro Mufarrej; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0593579703870586; Lima, Maria Lúcia Chaves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2883065146680171This study explores the interconnection between the legend of the Pink Dolphin, the issue of rape of women, and patriarchal structures in riverside communities. In view of this, we seek to analyze how the legend of the Dolphin can influence cultural perceptions, the invisibility and underreporting of cases of sexual violence, and, above all, perpetuate gender norms that contribute to women's vulnerability to rape. Methodologically, it is characterized as a narrative literature review, with a cross-sectional design, of a descriptive and exploratory nature, with the purpose of updating the bibliographical references and providing reflections on the topic. Five articles published between 2019 and 2024 were used, obtained through searches in Google Scholar, Pepsic, and Scielo. These studies were selected based on their abstracts and objectives. Thus, it is worth highlighting that this article will contribute to a deeper and more up-to-date understanding of the complex interactions between cultural myths, sexual violence, gender violence, and patriarchal structures. The analysis of the materials shows that it was difficult to gather articles that dealt with the psychological, emotional and sociocultural impacts prevalent in riverside women who are victims of rape, as well as substantial data on rape cases on Amazonian islands and their relationship with the Legend of the Boto. In short, it is necessary to recognize the role of society as a significant agent in combating the silencing of women who are victims of violence, seeking mechanisms that contribute to strengthening practices that reduce it. It is therefore expected that the results of this research will foster the development of public policies, or the refinement of those that are in force, in addition to allowing greater visibility to an urgent and necessary issue, through clarification/psychoeducation on the subject, aiming at reducing cases of rape in riverside communities.Item O impacto do Instagram na indústria da beleza: hábitos de consumo de estudantes universitárias(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-09-03) Almeida, Ana Beatriz dos Santos; Oliveira, Ívila do Socorro Peçanha de; Silva, Taissa Gabriela Caldas da; Hage, Zakiee Castro Mufarrej; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0593579703870586; Coêlho, Nilzabeth Leite; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9490576254567337; Silva, Raquel de Souza daIntroduction: This study highlights the prevalence and influence of social networks, with a focus on Instagram, based on statistics that exhibit the large extent of this platform's usage in Brazil, particularly among the younger population. Objective: To investigate the influence of Instagram on college women and, based on that, characterize the demographic sample, explore the consumption relationship, correlate beauty standards with sociodemographic variables, and describe these women's feelings regarding beauty standards on Instagram. Method: The method was descriptive, exploratory, transversal, and quantitative. Data collection was carried out online, involving an electronic form, and was conducted in a private educational institution in Belém do Pará, with university women. Results: Through the research, a total of 62 participants were obtained who were pursuing an undergraduate degree at the researched college. Furthermore, it was concluded that the content displayed on the social network, especially those of a comparative nature in relation to digital beauty influencers, had a significant impact on the participants, so that negative emotions such as frustration, sadness and shame had a considerable impact. . In summary, the results suggested that Instagram is an excellent influencer when it comes to behaviors and feelings regarding personal image among young women, altering not only their consumption choices, but also female emotional and psychological well-being.Item O psicodrama como facilitador para a exploração da sombra: revisão da literatura(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-09-05) Ribeiro, Marina Beatriz Vieira; Cruz, Edson Júnior Silva da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0227617708373838; Reis, José de Arimateia Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3976380225171903; Silva, Marluce Cristina Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4153445534387651The present work aims to describe the landscape of academic and scientific productions concerning the interface between Carl Gustav Jung's analytical psychology (1875-1961) and Jacob Levy Moreno's psychodrama (1889-1974), highlighting the latter as a facilitating tool for exploring the archetype of the shadow. Methodologically, this research is characterized as a cross-sectional, descriptive, and exploratory study in the form of a narrative literature review. Secondary data will be used, obtained through search systems such as Google Scholar, Pepsic, and SciELO, with the goal of updating bibliographic references on the topic by selecting articles, monographs, dissertations, and theses published in the last 15 years (2005-2020). The analysis of the materials revealed difficulty in gathering articles due to the limited interaction explored in the literature between Jung’s and Moreno’s approaches. In summary, it is essential to recognize the importance of integrating psychodrama and analytical psychology as a crucial step in deepening the understanding of the shadow and enhancing therapeutic practices. Seeking mechanisms that promote this integration can enrich personal development and expand the possibilities for psychological assistance.Item O que querem as mulheres? Uma análise do feminino em “A Via Crucis do Corpo”, de Clarice Lispector(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-09-03) Silva, Maria Edduarda Santana da; Cruz, Edson Júnior Silva da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0227617708373838; Del Nero, Luciana Brandão Carreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056614008350803; Hage, Zakiee Castro Mufarrej; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0593579703870586In an approach that bridges psychoanalysis and literature, this research considered Lacanian theory, as interpreted by the writer Denise Maurano in the book "Reviramentos do feminino e seus mistérios gozosos", with the aim of discussing the presence of the feminine in women in the fiction "A via crucis do corpo", published by the writer Clarice Lispector in 1974. The lack of proper grief processing can lead to severe emotional implications, highlighting the importance of psychological support within multidisciplinary teams. This study aimed to investigate the emotional impact of grief on professionals working in pediatric oncology and its influence on mental health and work quality. The research was descriptive, cross-sectional, and qualitative, with semi-structured interviews conducted with 15 professionals from a reference hospital in pediatric oncology in Belém, Pará. The results showed that professionals face significant emotional complexity, with grief being a recurring experience, and the need for emotional support being emphasized. The study also pointed out that parenthood intensifies reactions to grief, influencing the handling of loss, and unrecognized grief was identified as a factor affecting the quality of care. Two main categories were identified: understandings of death and pediatric grief, and emotional bonds with pediatric patients and coping mechanisms for grief. It was concluded that parenthood and unrecognized grief are crucial themes, suggesting the need for greater emotional support and more research in the field.Item Percepção de pais acerca do uso de telas na infância: aspectos positivos e negativos(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-09-02) Bentes, Ana Beatriz da Silva; Dias, Ana Flávia Ferreira; Carvalho, Ana Emília Vita; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1981562999898097; Moreira, Jenifer Leda Muniz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0704977947359760; Moutinho, Anna Camila Alves FrancoTechnology is the foundation of social relationships, and children are increasingly introduced to this environment at an earlier age. Researchers suggest that moderate technology use can have benefits; however, when it exceeds certain limits, it can be associated with negative consequences for child development. The present study aimed to investigate and analyze parents' perceptions of screen use and its consequences on child behavior. A cross-sectional, descriptive study with a quantitative and qualitative data analysis approach was conducted, involving a sample of 30 mothers or fathers of children aged 3 to 10 years old. Data was collected using a sociodemographic questionnaire and a screen use investigation, along with the Family Environment Resources Inventory (RAF). The results showed that children in the study exhibited excessive screen use, with significant results related to the child's position in the sibling order, most used screens, age of initial use, type of parental supervision, among others. The caregivers also reported noticing behavioral changes in their children, such as attention difficulties, irritability, mood swings, and insomnia. The RAF revealed low scores in the domain "Resources that Promote Proximal Processes" and a correlation between screen use and the child's gender, as well as with the domain "Family-School Connection". Benefits of screen use were also mentioned, such as learning, distraction, and entertainment. According to the parents' perceptions, there were no changes related to socialization and physical activity. It is concluded that the fact that a significant proportion of children start using screens very early and excessively suggests the need for interventions and strategies that promote more balanced usage practices that do not harm cognitive and social development.Item Percepção dos pais em relação à atividade do brincar no contexto de pré, durante e pós pandemia da COVID-19(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-09-02) Silva, Carla Cristina Santos e; Silva, Enmily Rayanne Ferreira da; Oliveira, Ester dos Reis; Carvalho, Ana Emília Vita; Moreira, Jenifer Leda Muniz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0704977947359760; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1981562999898097; Moutinho, Anna Camila Alves Franco; Colino, Ana Sylvia Valente; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4519243618295289Introduction: In childhood, playing is one of the main forms of expression, and is described as an important tool in learning different skills. Objective: To describe the activity of playing in the pre, during and post-pandemic periods according to the perception of parents/guardians in a sample of children. Method: The study was cross-sectional, descriptive and with quantitative data analysis. The sample consisted of 25 parents/guardians of children aged 7 to 10 years old, both sexes. After approval by the CEP, data collection took place online via Google Meet, starting with the application of the TCLE and the Voice Recording Agreement, via Google Forms. The Psychopediatric Interview Guide and the Family Environment Resources Inventory (RAF) were also used in the data collection. Results: Significant changes were observed in the games preferred by the children in this study, according to the perception of parents/guardians, with a decrease in games with predominantly symbolic and motor characteristics, and an increase in concentrated games. Furthermore, parents reported relevant behavioral changes in their children's development, such as increased use of screens. They also reported impaired development characterized by delays in school content. Regarding the result in the RAF, the lowest average achieved was in the item resources that promote proximal processes (M=3.4). However, with regard to support and psychosocial risk indices, the majority of parents reported promoting support in the family environment and absence of risk, respectively (72%; p=0.0002) (80.0%; p<0 .0001). Conclusion: Even in the face of good environmental resources, the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on the behavior and development of the children in the sample, according to the parent’s perception.Item Podcast como recurso para orientação de pais sobre estilos parentais(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023) Medeiros, Mariana Bouth de; Moreira, Jenifer Leda Muniz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0704977947359760This work aims to develop a product in podcast format with informative and guiding content on parenting styles, to assist parents and caregivers in their educational practices with their children. Consequently, the demand for palliative care, a health intervention focused on relieving suffering, promoting autonomy, and improving the quality of life for both patients and their families, is rising. The home becomes a favorable environment for this type of care, where the family caregiver may neglect their own health and face physical and emotional challenges. Objective: To identify the prevalence of stress, anxiety, and depression among family caregivers of patients receiving palliative care at home. Method: A cross-sectional, exploratory, and descriptive study, with a quantitative and qualitative data analysis, conducted at the homes of patients assisted by a Home Care Service from the public health system in Belém, PA. A Sociodemographic Questionnaire, a structured interview guide, and the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21) were used for data collection. Data were analyzed using JAMOVI 2.3.28 software and Google Excel spreadsheets. Results: The study included 20 family caregivers, 80% of whom were women. Most caregivers showed moderate levels of anxiety, and a correlation was found between caregiver burden and the severity of the patients' health conditions. No significant relationships were identified between caregiver burden and stress, anxiety, or depression. Discussion: Caregiver burden may result from various conditions within the caregiver's life context. Social support was crucial, and the severity of the patient's illness exacerbated the burden. Conclusion: Caregivers face a substantial burden due to caregiving demands. Public policies to provide adequate support and longitudinal studies to deepen the understanding of caregivers' needs are recommended.Item Psicanálise e cinema: os possíveis diálogos entre a teoria psicanalítica e os filmes de David Lynch(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-09-04) Pereira, Daniely Pureza; Cruz, Edson Júnior Silva da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0227617708373838; Reis, José de Arimateia Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3976380225171903; Cal, Danielle Barros da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3247543884965510This paper proposes a detailed study that explores the connection between dreams and the unconscious through a psychoanalytic perspective, through two surrealist films directed by American director David Lynch. The study briefly reviewed the historical evolution of motherhood as a social construct. The thematic analysis of participants' narratives revealed current shifts in perceptions, emphasizing the persistence of social expectations and the complexity of the maternal role. The findings suggest the need to broaden discussions on motherhood, viewing it as a subjective and multifaceted experience rather than an intuitive and universal function. The study underscores the importance of understanding motherhood as a social construct shaped by various individual and cultural contexts.
