This comprehensive project incorporated a meticulous methodology to estimate waste generation, identify recyclable materials, and assess the potential for energy generation through waste incineration. The results revealed that the residential complex (six residential towers, each consisting of 21 apartments) would generate approximately 230.02 tons of waste annually, of which around 59.6 tons could be directed to selective collection. Additionally, it was estimated that waste incineration could generate 8.28 MWh of electricity annually, representing approximately 10% of the energy consumption of the residential complex, using the Lower Heating Value (LHV) calculation method developed by Themelis (2003). These findings are crucial for waste management in Belém and have broader implications for Brazil, emphasizing the importance of selective collection, recycling, and energy recovery as fundamental strategies for environmental sustainability. This research also underscores the ongoing need to explore energy generation from waste as an environmentally friendly alternative. The study significantly contributes to the understanding and improvement of waste management practices, aligning with contemporary challenges in sustainability and environmental management.Item A análise de custos para vedações internas: estudo comparativo entre drywall e alvenaria cerâmica(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023-11-27) Alves, Brendo Chaves; Carvalho, Lucas Pinheiro de; Santos Junior, Evaristo Clementino Rezende dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8092046333311366; Sousa, Andreia do Socorro Conduru de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6242878820643068; Jorge, Bruno Norat; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2657455132558480Currently, the domestic market is experiencing a growing demand for alternative methods in civil construction, driven by the desire to reduce project timelines and costs while simultaneously aiming to increase production efficiency. Dry construction methods have been gaining an increasingly significant share of this market. In this context, this study proposes a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the construction methods involving ceramic block masonry and dry construction. The specific focus of this study is to examine and calculate the differences in structural loads, assess execution productivity, and determine the costs involved between the two systems. The adopted methodology is based on a case study, with data collection conducted through document analysis and onsite monitoring of the construction project. To obtain the estimated results of this research, there was a comparative analysis of structural loads, taking into consideration the weights of each partition, productivity assessment through the Unitary Production Ratio (UPR), and cost determination using the spreadsheet from the National System of Costs and Indexes for Civil Construction (SINAPI) and cost composition spreadsheets from the Department of Urban Development and Public Works (SEDOP). Based on the results obtained in this case study, we conclude that gypsum board walls stand out in comparison to conventional masonry, presenting notable advantages such as lower costs, ease of compliance with regulations, higher productivity, and a lighter structure.Item Análise de falhas na concepção de projetos, orçamentos e planejamentos de obras públicas: estudo de caso(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023-11-27) Miranda Neto, Armando Batista de; Silva, Jason Kuroki da; Santos Junior, Evaristo Clementino Rezende dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8092046333311366; Sousa, Andreia do Socorro Conduru de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6242878820643068; Jorge, Bruno Norat; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2657455132558480In Brazil, the topic of public works is widely discussed, however, most of the time superficially and without due analysis regarding its shortcomings and problems; Due to this type of vision, this work aimed to deepen and presente in a statistical and analytical way such gaps that exist throughout the process of a public work in the state of Pará, from the opening of the bidding notice, through the execution and inspection, partial deliveries (measurements), and delivery of the final product. This analysis was carried out, with the aim of enhancing the results, using the exploratory method, where two types of research occur; a case study in order to identify the problems presented in a type of public work with on-site monitoring (corpo de bombeiros /CMAN), and a quantitative research, where a questionnaire was carried out in order to collect data regarding existing gaps, by type of work (civil/infrastructure), specification of the work (ex: roads), by role of the interviewee (inspector/executor), size of the work, finally, several issues are presented where the interviewee points out the degree of interference in the result end of the work; Finally, a comparison was made between the data obtained in the quantitative research and the case study, resulting in compatibility between the two studies, showing that the field research did not meet the standards of public works in the state of Pará, according to data from quantitative research,.Item Estudo de caso: o gerenciamento de produtividade no canteiro de uma obra vertical através do uso da metodologia SCRUM e do indicativo RUP(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023-12-05) Baima, Carlos Newton Santos; Sousa, Andreia do Socorro Conduru de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6242878820643068; Santos Junior, Evaristo Clementino Rezende dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8092046333311366; Jorge, Bruno Norat; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2657455132558480The case study portrays the management and extraction of data on the productivity of construction labor, in various activities, on a building project in Belém do Pará. With the problem being the incompatibility of productivity indices in budgets and planning, compared to the indications practiced in construction, the aim of this study is to collect and evaluate the productivity indices of the work's executive activities, using the unit production ratio (UPR) method, to generate a cohesive and comparative database that will help the executing company in budgets for future buildings, and can measure the planning and budget changes of the construction under study, therefore, the intention to cover various services, in order to increase the construction company's know-how. For the study, productivity data was collected from April/2023 to September/2023, using information from the daily work report (RDO). It is worth noting that the Scrum management method was also used to boost the production capacity of the operational teams through time management activities. In addition, the results obtained showed a continuous improvement in productivity in the activities, after 3 repetitions of the same service, thus generating an evolution in the "learning curve" of the activity and speeding up the project execution process. After using the tools, it was found that some activities were more cost-effective.Item Análise comparativa entre os sistemas construtivos tradicional e modular a partir do contexto da indústria 4.0(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023-12-05) Bentes, Amanda Richene; Barbosa, Sofia Vasconcelos Gadelha; Sousa, Andreia do Socorro Conduru de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6242878820643068; Santos Junior, Evaristo Clementino Rezende dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8092046333311366; Jorge, Bruno Norat; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2657455132558480The civil construction industry, crucial to the Brazilian economy, faces significant challenges due to a lack of technological modernization. Currently, activities in this sector demonstrate low levels of productivity and efficiency throughout the process due to extensive reliance on manual labor, often associated with intense physical effort, which are still predominant characteristics of traditional construction. In this scenario, the industry actively seeks innovative methods to streamline and enhance its processes. The purpose extends beyond improving the performance and quality of buildings, encompassing the reduction of associated environmental impacts. In light of this, modular construction not only emerges as an alternative but also assumes a prominent role by positioning itself as a strategic pathway for transforming the construction industry into a contemporary and efficient entity. By embracing the modular approach, the sector can respond to current demands for efficiency and quality, and more significantly, align promptly with the vision of a future where construction becomes an agile, sustainable, and highly productive industry. Therefore, the scope of this work involves conducting a comparative analysis between traditional construction systems and off-site systems to determine which one effectively meets the current demands of the civil construction sector. The main objective is to evaluate which of these systems provides a significant advantage through its adoption and offers the best cost-benefit ratio. The intention is to identify ways to drive and enhance the civil construction market, ensuring that choices regarding construction methods are strategically aligned with the needs and challenges of the sector, thereby promoting its continuous evolution and success.Item Sistema IoT automatizado de monitoramento não invasivo da corrente elétrica de residências utilizando o microcontrolador ESP8266(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023-12-11) Pimentel, Bruno Wallef Miranda; Carvalho, João Eduardo Brito; Vieira, Luciana de Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4180335450338216; Trindade, Max Ricardo Pantoja da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1076116729766667; Neves, Leonardo Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4207171545094669The use of the Internet of Things (IoT) in home automation is extremely important in the pursuit of sustainable development and awareness of energy source depletion. Both approaches have significant implications in terms of efficiency, collaboration, and results, reflecting the constantly evolving paradigms in the construction industry. In this context, it is essential to analyze and understand which of these options best adapts to the different stages of the project. The present work aims to develop and compare a structural project, between the traditional resource and the BIM methodology, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of each method. To carry out this study, the architectural design of a two-story single-family residence was chosen, in which the structural design was carried out using the traditional method following all the necessary steps, therefore the same step was carried out using the BIM methodology. The comparison to highlight the main differences between the systems was made following the essential points that guide a project, starting from research, time measurement and analysis of results. The BIM methodology proved to be more advantageous in the productivity, integration, detailing, maintenance, coordination, and management of a structural project. However, the initial cost of software and project time are higher than the traditional method. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out a careful analysis of specific needs before starting to implement each method.Item Sistema de monitoramento IoT para gerenciamento do fluxo de líquidos na indústria 4.0(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023-12-11) Marques, Lucas Gabriel Bastos; Cardoso Neto, Ozias dos Santos; Vieira, Luciana de Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4180335450338216; Trindade, Max Ricardo Pantoja da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1076116729766667; Neves, Leonardo Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4207171545094669Efficiency and control are paramount in the industry; therefore, precise management of liquid flow plays a critical role in various factors, ensuring product quality, process safety, and efficient resource utilization, thereby reducing costs and minimizing environmental impacts.
