Item A avaliação termográfica como recurso auxiliar no diagnóstico fisioterapêutico frente a queixas álgicas nos membros inferiores de corredores de rua amadores(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023) Pereira, André Mateus da Silva; Marques, Felipe Margalho; Sarmento, Paulo Henrique Rodrigues; Freitas, Wiviane Maria Torres de Matos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8170754805493164; Pereira, Raphael do Nascimento; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4495343513171099; Oliveira, Wellington Pinheiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4902455106917702Introduction: A survey addresses the growing popularity of street running as an accessible and low-cost sport, especially among men and women. Method: This is a cross-sectional observational research, with a quantitative and descriptive approach, regarding thermographic evaluation in the lower limbs of amateur street runners, with amateur athletes from the group of papão leguas runners, evaluated at the Cesupa physiotherapy clinic. Results: In the research, the audience was 30 athletes, mostly men (60%), with the majority of participants having moderate pain intensity (76%), with the main pain complaint being the knee joint (40%). According to the thermographic evaluation, the majority did not present a risk of injury. Conclusion: Research shows that thermography is associated with the reference of pain complaints in runners, which favors physiotherapeutic assessment and diagnosis.Item Abordagem da fisioterapia aquática na dor, flexibilidade, capacidade funcional e qualidade de vida de pacientes com espondilite anquilosante(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Matos, Jennifer da Silva; Barbosa, Anne Karolyne Loureiro; Freitas, Wiviane Maria Torres de Matos; Braga, Sidney de Assis da Serra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6312957492001425; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8170754805493164Ankylosing Spondylitis (AE) is a chronic rheumatic disease capable of generating severe physical and functional impairments. Therefore, the article aimed to analyze the performance of Aquatic Physical Therapy in patients with AS in the face of pain, functionality, physical capacity, thoracic expandability and morning stiffness. This is an original article of quantitative character and clinical intervention, with a sample of three participants. An evaluation and reassessment was performed using its own form, containing sociodemographic and clinical variables, as well as the Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Spondylitis Functionality Index (BASFI - adapted), Quality of Life Questionnaire (SF36), mobility tests and flexibility testing. Theresearch was divided into stages, the first with the objective of reducing pain and stiffness; the second benefited the decrease in fatigue and mobility gain; the 3rd contributed to the increase in muscle strength. The results found after the intervention were significant, there was a reduction in pain in all patients, improvement in physical and functional capacity, significant increase in flexibility (average: >5), mobility (average: >4), and quality of life of the participants. Finally, we highlight the importance of the comprehensive look on the part of professionals and the need for centralized care in these patients, due to the lack of guidance for individuals with Ankylosing Spondylitis, as well as the scarcity of scientific evidence that addresses the physiotherapeutic treatments aimed at these patients.Item Avaliação do desempenho funcional em atletas de alto rendimento praticantes do basquetebol em cadeira de rodas(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023) Silva, Antônio Werner Pastana da; Martinez, Francisco Alexey Alencar; Freitas, Wiviane Maria Torres de Matos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8170754805493164; Pereira, Raphael do Nascimento; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4495343513171099; Dias, LohanaThe objective of this study was to evaluate the functional performance of highperformance athletes who practice wheelchair basketball. The study is quantitative, analytical, includes players of both sexes, undergoing physiotherapeutic evaluation with the authors' own record, assessment of muscular strength, power and agility. 15 athletes participated, predominantly male, most with perceived difficulty in long passes, free throws and moving shots. An average of 643.6±147.6 cm was obtained for male athletes, classified as advanced intermediates, and 431.2±80.9 cm for female athletes, classified as advanced. The study concludes that the variables measured: strength, power and agility do not directly influence the group's performance.Item Perfil de internação por queimaduras no estado do Pará no período de 2018 a 2022(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023) Martins Neto, Roberto Tavares; Freitas, Wiviane Maria Torres de Matos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8170754805493164; Mélo, Flávia Maria Lessa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5317077001595820; Feio, Sâmia Cruz Albuquerque; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3818122360308687Objective: To identify the burn hospitalization profile in the state of Pará (Brazil), in the period from 2018 to 2022. Method: The data was collected by DATASUS, which included sex, age group and municipality, in the period from january 2018 to december 2022. Results: There were registered 2,884 cases in the period, 68.75% male and 31.25% female, 50.10% are adults aged 20 to 59 years, 66.67% of the total cases registered in Ananindeua and, During this period, 121 deaths were registered in total. Conclusion: The hospitalization profile for burns was mostly made up of adult men of economically active age, but, in general, had a low mortality rate, and for this reason, the state of Pará does not appear to be a major target of epidemiological concern. However, new studies are needed to promote more preventive measures and further reduce the number of burn cases in Pará and other states in Brazil.
