Item Efeitos agudos do alongamento estático no desempenho funcional de bailarinas(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2025-12-09) Bastos, Allane Nobre; Silva, Juliana Valente da; Ferreira, Wendel Patric Henschel; Pereira, Raphael do Nascimento; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4495343513171099; Pereira, Roberta de Araújo Costa Folha; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3019537740239784; Afonso, Rosana Telma Lopes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6068663462461817Introduction: This study evaluated the acute effects of static stretching on the functional performance of ballet dancers; however, its influence on strength, power, range of motion, and balance remains controversial. Objective: To investigate the acute effects of static stretching on the functional performance of classical ballet dancers. Methodology: This interventional study assessed ballet dancers before and after static stretching, evaluating range of motion, isometric strength, power, and balance. Pre- and post-intervention comparisons were performed using paired t-tests (p ≤ 0.05). Discussion: The literature indicates that acute static stretching tends to produce discrete and transient gains in flexibility, temporary reductions in isometric strength, preservation of muscular power, and possible improvements in balance, attributed to neural adaptations and motor learning. Conclusion: Static stretching presents heterogeneous effects. Caution is recommended when applying it before tasks requiring maximal strength; future studies should vary duration and intensity across different populations.Item Fatores de risco e queixas de dores musculoesqueléticas em Policiais Militares Combatentes(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023) Souza, Samanta Camile Oliveira de; Sousa, Hanna Mikaely Cavalcante de; Leal, Lucas Bulhões Moutinho; Braga, Sidney de Assis da Serra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6312957492001425; Veloso, Ana Cláudia Mendes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3706137454971971; Martins, Rômulo Cardoso; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4982238556287610Objective: The objective of this article is to analyze the risk factors and incidence of musculoskeletal pain in military police officers. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review, which searched for articles published in the following databases: Pubmed; Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO); Secad Artmed Panamericana; Brazilian Journal of Development; Research, Society and Development, Virtual Health Library, from 2017 to 2023. Results: 15 articles were selected that were related to the objective and within the inclusion criteria, that is, articles in English and Portuguese from 2018 to 2023. Conclusion: Military Police officers present elements that affect their physical, mental and emotional health, such as lack of adequate rest, poor quality of sleep, an unrecommended anthropometric index and lack of regular physical activity. The biggest causes of absence and pain and injury rates are orthopedic disorders in the knee and lower back, which is related to the high number of recruitments of the lower limbs during the military career.
