Item A espiritualidade na formação médica: elaboração de um guia didático a partir da autopercepção de alunos da graduação(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2019) Pereira, Ângela Regina Rosa Corrêa; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; Magno, Ismaelino Mauro Nunes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3841081216551678; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040Introduction: Spirituality is an intangible way of seeking meaning in life. However, religiosity runs through a concrete system based on doctrines or cults that aims to attain the Sacred from behavioral, social and moral values. In this context, there is currently an important involvement between health and spirituality. Since 1988, the World Health Organization involves the spiritual dimension in the concept of health. Scientific research on the subject is still incipient, but with relevant results. Medical education in the field of humanistic skills is instigated to promote training for teachers and students on the subject. Objective: To develop a pedagogical guide on Spirituality and clinical practice based on the perception of the subject in undergraduate medical students. Methods: This is a descriptive, observational, cross-sectional study with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Self-assessment of medical students was carried out (n = 233). A selfapplied questionnaire, of the Brief Multidimensional Measure of Religiousness and Spirituality (BMMRS protocol) validated for the Portuguese language - Brazil. Results: The profile of the population ranged from 18 to 49 years (median: 21), most of whom were single (n = 222), of the female gender, and when they were grouped by semesters, the female gender was also predominant. The religious distribution shows a majority of Catholics (65%), followed by evangelicals (9.8%), which predominates over spiritist (5.1%). In relation to the spiritual dimensions analyzed: spiritual experiences, beliefs and values, religious overcoming and organizational religiosity, were more valued (greater percentage) by the group of students of the first semester compared to the twelfth semester in all variables. However, when the global selfassessment dimension was analyzed, students in the last semester of the course feel more religious and more spiritual. As for the qualitative analysis of the responses related to spirituality and the medical course, using the criterion of Bardin 2011. The comparison of the responses of the groups particularly values this research because it reflects in the first group a probable expectation of the subject to be approached and for the complete a record of the subject in medical training. Conclusion: The students' perception about spirituality and graduation, brings us to propose a didactic guide on spirituality and clinical practice. A large part of the studied population favored the subject in the medical course. It is necessary, however, more research proposing ways to address this dimension of health in medical education.Item A tecnologia da informação e comunicação na estratégia de prevenção do câncer de colo uterino em Unidade Básica de Saúde no estado do Pará(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2022) Silva, Elyene Elene Meireles da Rocha; Matos, Haroldo José de; Rocha, Marco José de Sousa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9830983900880582; Ferreira, Ilma Pastana; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1650337093024641; Sousa, Maisa; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040Cervical cancer is a public health problem that affects each region of Brazil differently, with the north and northeast regions being the most affected when comparing the number of deaths from this pathology compared to other regions. The objective of this research was to investigate statistical data to determine the possible causes, and deficiencies in the prevention of this disease in the state of Pará, and with that to specify an application that favors the qualification of the attendance of the preventive service of the uterine cervix. The methodology consisted of an ecological, descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The acquisition of statistical data took place between the year 2010 and 2022. Data analysis and product creation was carried out with the support of the Excel 2016 program, libreOffice 7.2 libreOffice Draw, the Rational Unified Process method, and with articles related to with the theme. The analyzed indicators point to a deficit in the target to be reached of coverage of the programs to combat this pathology in the northern region, State of Pará and Municipality of Belém. There is a need to strengthen the local management of cervical cancer control programs, as well as to invest in the quality of services, as the current situation provides an ideal scenario for this technological advance. This work also points out the importance of using the application that allows the user to obtain all the necessary information, to plan the days in which she will go to the basic health unit in her coverage area with effective communication, to contribute to the tracking, giving the same convenience, ease and practicality. In addition to the proposed functionality, it allows contacting health professionals registered in the application to obtain clarification and also establish a link of trust in relation to the service. For the health team involved in the process, there will be availability to record the entire process, that is, attendance of its users with dates for the Pap smear and updated agenda, for example. In addition to the application specifications, this work also presents user interface sketches of the technical feasibility study.Item Análise comparativa de perfil epidemiológico e imuno-histoquímico em pacientes jovens com câncer de mama em clínica privada(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2019-05-29) Neiva, Christianne Gomes Barros; Miranda, Ariney Costa de; Carvalho, Ana Emília Vita; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1981562999898097; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0967752058385887; Caldato, Milena Coelho Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9477878606835309; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Bacelar, Herick Pampolha Huet de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3310315262508382Breast câncer in Young people is considered an uncommon disease accounting for less than 7% for all women diagnosed with câncer in developed countries. In the last decade, there have been fundamental changes in the understanding of the biology of breast cancer, which has come to be understood as a group of diseases with different molecular characteristics identified by gene expression profiles. This was a longitudinal retrospective case-control study in which 60 patients with a diagnosis of breast cancer, 20 young patients (≤ 40 years), Case group (Gca) and 40 patients (contro lgroup - CG) were evaluated, These groups were subdivided into two age groups: Groups 1 (GC1) with patients aged 41-59 years and Control groups 2 (GC2) with patients aged 60 or over. The patients underwent oncologic surgery, in the period between May/2013 and October/2018. The mean age of the participants was 34.2 years; 85% had symptomatic diseases; the mean tumor size was 2.6cm; 20% had a first-degree family history, and 35% had loco regional lymph nodes in the study. Histopathological examination. Regarding Postoperative Staging, 1A was more frequent. The luminal profile A was found in 38.8% of the patients, followed by luminal B in 33.3% and triple in 27.8% in the case group. Differing from the literature, in which predominance of the B-luminal profile occurs. We conclude that the sample studied presented fewer aggressive cases than found in the literature in this age group. The diagnosis of breast câncer is a challenge in this age group because women do not usually do mammographic screening before 40 years. With the purpose of drawing attention and orientation regarding breast cancer in Young women and guiding health professionals, a primer was produced with the purpose of encouraging, whenever possible, the early diagnosis and better therapeutic conduct of the patients.Item Avaliação da aceitação de instrumento técnico auxiliar no manejo da sífilis em gestantes(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2018) Silva, Silvana Cristina Rodrigues da; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Araújo, Eliete da Cunha; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5906453187927460; Rojas, Márcia de Fátima Maciel de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1926263861110172; Matos, Haroldo José de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9830983900880582INTRODUCTION. Every year, all around the world, the number of Congenital Syphilis (CS) is increasing. Last 2018 Epidemiological Bulletin of Brazil presented the national incidence rate of CS in 8,6 cases for every thousand born alive, very far from the target set by the American Health Organization (PAHO) that is 0,5 cases of CS for every thousand born alive up to 2015. Adequate and early treatment in pregnants is the most efficient manner to prevent CS. With the implementation of rapid test for syphilis in Basic Health Units (UBS), Ministry of Health (MH) aims to avoid diagnostic opportunities loss and adequate the treatment. Searching for improving health professional atuation who accomplish prenatal and favor doctor and nurse from Family Health Strategies (FHS) to answer doubts related to the management of syphilis in pregnant women, a technical instrument in disk form was developed, denominated “Disc for Diagnosis and Treatment of Syphilis in Pregnant Women”, based on MH flowcharts Protocols. Objective. Evaluate the technical instrument acceptance from medical professionals and nurses who perform prenatal care at the FHS in Belém city. Methodology. Research of descriptive character, qualitativequantitative in the management of syphilis specifically in pregnant women. Two different questionnaires were used for data collection, the first one was answered before the disk delivery in period of February and March 2018 with questions containing variables as professional position, sex, graduated time, level of study, and others related to the MH Protocol and syphilis in pregnant women. 156 questionnaires were answered followed by the delivery of 156 Discs. Second questionnaire was answered 4 months after Disc delivery, containing questions about the opportunity of using the instrument and as variables about its acceptance. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software was used, associations were calculated using the Chi-square test of adhesion and independence, interest variables, with significance level of 5%, to predict the result of Disc usage by professionals with the variables that proved to be significant in the tests. Results. In relation to questionnaire I from a total universe of 224 professionals, 156 questionnaires were filled out, majority of participants are nurses 24.4% and doctors 14.7%, female gender predominates 68.6% among both doctors and nurses with a general average of 7.5 years of graduated in both categories but with a slightly lower prenatal accomplishment experience, an average of 6.2 years. 115 (75%) reported have ever had doubts about a syphilis suggestive result in pregnant women and most said they do not know how to proceed with altered results for Sifilis. In questionnaire II, 50 questions were answered, being a sample with predominance of the feminine gender 30 (60%) and nurses 37 (74%), similar to the first phase, 70% of respondents said they had no difficult to handle the disc, 90% considered the disc useful or very useful, 95% affirmed that the disk contains all informations for proper diagnosis and treatment of syphilis in pregnant women, 94% would recommend its use to other professionals. Conclusion. Results demonstrate that the instrument created was well accepted by the surveyed professionals, and seems to fulfill the larger goal by which it was created, to be a tool for decision-making, improving the diagnosis of a pregnant woman with syphilis.Item Avaliação do processo ensino-aprendizagem do eletrocardiograma na graduação médica(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Holanda, Vitor Bruno Teixeira de; Miranda, Ariney Costa de; Nunes, Leonardo Mendes Acatauassú; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3512764081076675; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0967752058385887; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Bacelar, Herick Pampolha Huet de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3310315262508382; Portella, Marcia Bitar; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9865172579876286Medical teaching of the electrocardiogram is a worldwide challenge, there is still no methodology considered as the “gold standard”. With the advent of the new National Curricular Guidelines, the need to learn basic diagnostic methods is clear. General Objective: Evaluation of the methodology applied for teaching electrocardiogram interpretation, in the undergraduate medical course at Centro Universitário do Pará. Specific Objectives: To identify the teaching-learning process of the electrocardiogram in the 3rd semester of the CESUPA Medicine course. Describe, from observation, the methods used by teachers to teach the electrocardiogram within the Medical Pedagogical Project of CESUPA in the Clinical Skills Module of the 3rd semester. Develop an illustrated script based on the results obtained, which facilitates the understanding and learning of the ECG. Methodology: This is a descriptive, cross-sectional observational study, with a quantitative and qualitative approach. The present study observed a group from the Clinical Skills Discipline of the Medical Course of the University Center of the State of Pará (CESUPA), from the academic period of the 3rd semester, in which the teaching of the electrocardiogram is introduced. Data collection was performed through the application of the semi-structured, quantitative and qualitative questionnaire based on the Likert scale. The applied method was the triangulation of the perception of the observer, teachers and students. Results: In the students' responses, it can be seen that the percentage regarding the statement “if active methodology was applied during the teaching-learning process”, obtained a greater amount of concordant response 5 (63%) and 4 (15.79%). A higher percentage was obtained among the concordant responses, 5 (35.09) and 4 (31.58%), for the statement "there are stimuli for memorizing the measurement values", calling attention to the percentage of responses "I do not know how to give an opinion. as for the answers to affirmative “there is an emphasis on understanding the stimuli that give rise to electrocardiographic waves”, there was 91.22% disagreement. In the teachers' reply “was an active methodology applied during the teaching-learning process?”, There was a 100% response, I totally agree, and we had two justifications. The responses to statement 5 demonstrated the perception of not achieving the ideal result in the teaching-learning objective of the electrocardiogram. As for the observer: there was complete agreement with statements 2 and 3 only, completely disagreeing with the statement “the students demonstrate the ability to assess whether the ECG was well performed”. Conclusions: The search for better efficiency was evident, mixing traditional and active methods and tools, in the quest to achieve the pedagogical objectives. However, in the identification of the teaching-learning process, the ability to stimulate creation and evaluation in Bloom's taxonomy was lacking.Item Avaliação do uso da metodologia de problematização pelos docentes do módulo de interação em saúde na comunidade(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2017) Pereira, Cybelle Cristina; Matos, Haroldo José de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9830983900880582; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Ikuta, Yuji Magalhães; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8464078836149569; Dantas, Elza Ezilda Valente; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3951303999926297Introduction: Historically, the teaching of the medical profession was based on the eminently practical nature of the doctor-patient relationship, in which health problems are sought to be solved; this reality led to the teaching of problematizing methodologies. In the perspective of the socio-educational context within the health area, it is perceived that the Problem-solving Methodology emerges as a pedagogical strategy of possible efficacy by providing a connection and approximation of teaching with the reality lived in the health services. The Methodology of Problematization, based on the Arch of Maguerez, according to Bordenave and Pereira, presupposes a sequence of five stages which are interconnected: Observation of Reality, Key Points, Theorization, Solution Hypotheses and Application to Reality. Objective: To analyze the use of the methodology of problematization in the practice of the professors of the Module of Interaction in Health in the Community. Methodology: Consisted on a transversal study, with a qualitative approach through content analysis, with the help of Iramuteq software. Twenty professors from the Community Health Interaction Module of CESUPA participated in the study. Results and Discussion: After analyzing the four categories presented by the content analysis, it was possible to verify that the teachers understand in general the stages of the Arch of Maguerez and the necessity of the intervention of the students in the reality to be transformed. In addition, they perceive limitations and advantages in the use of the Problem-solving Methodology, but also present some hazy concepts regarding the use of the methodology. Conclusion: It is concluded that the MISC professors have knowledge and professional experience in relation to the application of the Problem Methodology, but it is necessary to have a higher qualification in relation to the subject, besides new studies that can deepen the teaching of Problematization in medical education.Item Avaliação interpares: experiência de avaliação formativa no curso de enfermagem em uma instituição de ensino superior de Belém(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2020) Santos, Isabela Bonfim; Dantas, Elza Ezilda Valente; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3951303999926297; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Nunes, Leonardo Mendes Acatauassú; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3512764081076675; Peixoto, Ivonete Vieira Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0072766773987067; Carvalho, Ana Emília Vita; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1981562999898097; Reis Junior, Leandro Passarinho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8106073837131437This research questioned the theme Educational Evaluation, specially evaluation in superior degree learning. In academic scenery highlighted three functions from de evaluation to the learning: the diagnostic, the total amount and the formation. The formative evaluation aims to develop the constructive action and compromised to the learning, content in the evaluation inter-pairs the possibility to share responsibilities and work on the mobilization of the knowledge handling it to the abilities and attitudes. Objectives: valid a form of inter-pair evaluation aim to contribute to the practice of formative evaluation in the nursery course. Apply the instrument of inter-pair evaluation in hospital nursery module in the range; to know the students` perceptions about the tools of inter-pair evaluations. Problems searched: How do inter-pair evaluation might help in the development of effective and collaborative learning from the perception of the students? How does it characterize the perception of the students about inter-pair evaluation as part of the evaluation? Methodology: descriptive qualitative research in which the participants were students of 4th period of the course. Presenting the following methodological stages: presentation of the project to the group, conversation exposing what is formative evaluation, with the focus on the inter-pairs evaluation: accompanying classes with active methodologies and application of questionnaire to students, in which data will be submitted to analyses of the content. Results: most of the students (55,6%) believe in the potential of formative evaluation, but there are still many challenges to overcome, what leads to not always to feel safe to give feedback to the colleagues. 38,9% totally agree that feelings, such as feel safe, motivation, trust are demonstrated in contacts with colleagues, sharing knowledge and experience in a collaborative activity. although after passing through the process of inter-pairs evaluation after the use of active methodologies 38,9 experienced aversive feelings when faced the responsibilities about the learning of the other participants of the group. 50% agreed to have facilities to identify the deficiencies and potencies of their colleagues because the use of active methodologies help to individualize the needs of the students when working in groups, become easier the interaction student - teacher. Conclusion: we concluded that the way the students evaluate themselves, noticed that their learning, refer to the progresses, related to the objectives of learning, and drew new steps to learning constituted, the first references about the applications of tools of inter-pairs evaluation in the course and what it is capable to mobilize when we want a shared responsible learning. The scientific experience of the present study, the references in which we observed the effects of formative evaluation and the validation of the inter-pairs evaluation forms aim to contribute to the nursery course aiming the logic dialogical capable to recognize the potentialities, the fragilities and the possibilities of changing in the learning process.Item Competências clínicas essenciais em endocrinologia e metabologia para o médico generalista(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Bastos, Fabíola de Arruda; Caldato, Milena Coelho Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9477878606835309; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Libonati, Rosana Maria Feio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3818175484709618; Conde, Simone Regina Souza da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3375802140515152; Del Nero, Luciana Brandão Carreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056614008350803Introduction: Teaching by Competencies mobilizes Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes. In the medical field, it is important to define the competences necessary for a general practitioner, contributing to the training of professionals more prepared for the job. A competence matrix expresses the collective consensus about the essential content for the student, being an instrument able to guide the teaching-learning processes. Objective: To develop a proposal for a Matrix of Essential Clinical Competencies in the Area of Endocrinology and Metabolism for the General Practitioner, to be achieved at the end of the undergraduate course in Medicine. Methodology: For the accomplishment of this work, the Delphi methodology was applied, in order to obtain consensus about the Essential Clinical Competencies. The study was divided into four phases: bibliographic survey and construction of the Pilot Matrix; opinion consultation with 07 local judges; analysis of the results obtained after the 1st evaluation cycle and elaboration of a questionnaire for a 2nd evaluation cycle; application of the questionnaire, analysis of responses and preparation of the Final Competency Matrix. Results: The Pilot Matrix was composed of 23 competencies, defined based on the main sub-areas of Endocrinology and Metabology, covering Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes. After the 1st evaluation cycle, alterations were suggested in 14 competences, totaling 22 alteration proposals. After the 2nd evaluation cycle, there was consensus on 16 of the 22 suggested changes, 05 for Increasing the Complexity of Competence, 07 for Reducing the Complexity of Competence and 04 for Changing the Competence. There was no situation of Exclusion from Competence. Conclusion: The elaboration of a proposal for a Matrix of Essential Clinical Competencies in the Area of Endocrinology and Metabology for the General Practitioner, to be achieved at the end of the graduation in Medicine, is fundamental, due to the increasing frequency of endocrine and metabolic diseases in the world population, the shortage of specialists and the reduced amount of adequate material on the subject. In this way, the Matrix proposal contributes to contemporary medical education based on Competencies, as well as to the qualified teaching of Endocrinology in undergraduate Medicine.Item Conhecimento de profissionais de saúde na mobilização de paciente politraumatizado no âmbito hospitalar(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2022) Maciel, Flávia Lobato; Caldato, Milena Coelho Fernandes; Costa, Leonardo Ramos Nicolau da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0412027987799407; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9477878606835309; Miranda, Ariney Costa de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0967752058385887; Silva, Dayse Danielle de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1634835938202657; Ferreira, Ilma Pastana; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1650337093024641; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Souza, Givago da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5705421011644718This is a cross-sectional study of a quantitative nature. The present work has as an objective to contribute for the creation of a competency matrix ordered to the Adolescent Medicine during medical graduation with the scope that the egressed may, at the end of the course, carry it out with autonomy and safety. The work in sight consists of a quantitative exploratory study, which utilized the Delphi Methodology, and was realized in four phases: first a bibliografic survey and the creation of a pilot matrix were made; in sequence a research was performed with specialists (pediatricians and adolescent medics) – first evaluation cycle of pilot matrix; in the third phase, research was done alongside a panel of local judges – second evaluation cycle of pilot matrix; and at last, the results were analysed and the definitive matrix was elaborated. At the end of the two evaluation cycles a matrix proposal composed of 24 essential competencies in Adolescent Medicine was structured upon 3 thematic axies: the first axis, containing competencies linked to adolescent care; the second, containing competencies over the main themes in Adolescent Medicine; and the third axis, with the general competencies concentrated in the acknowledgement of the main pathologies that affect adolescents. The results allowed to trace a profile of competencies in accordance with the proposed objective and will permit the fullfilment of an existent gap in professional formation, guaranting a training in Adolescent Medicine, suplying the necessity of dealing with questions more directed to psicossocial and sexual problems, and the physical and emotional developement of that part of the population which necessitates higher atention.Item Mensuração da escoliose idioática do adolescente: desenvolvimento de um aplicativo voltado para o ensino em saúde(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023) Giubilei, Dante Bernardes; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Teixeira, Claúdio Eduardo Corrêa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7448998858430931; Brito, João Amaury Francês; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2082803988929398; Oliveira, Marcus Augusto de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6036530007649294Objective: Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis is the most common spine deformity and has its own classification, although didactically complex. Problems: The research was guided by the following epistemological questions: How do teachers perceive their professional development from the use of active methodologies in their teaching practice in higher education? How is the preparation of these teachers for the exercise of teaching in the perspective of the use of active learning methods? What challenges are encountered in the process of using MA's? How do these relate to your teaching development? How is the preparation of these teachers for the exercise of teaching in the perspective of the use of active learning methods? What challenges are encountered in the process of using MA's? How do these relate to your teaching development? Objectives: To analyze the use of active methodologies and their effects on the development of higher education teachers by proposing a technical note. Identify how teachers plan to perform teaching activities in courses that use Active Methods. Identify which formative practices contribute to their development as a teacher. Map the potentialities and weaknesses faced by teachers in the development of learning from Active Methods. Verify the challenges faced by teachers in working with active methodologies. methodological approach: qualitative research and was supported epistemic use of bibliographic research, document and data collection with the application of mixed questionnaire to participants. Results: The first results indicate the prospect that working with active methods of teaching epistemology imply a review. The definition by the active method teachers was represented by the following keywords: Protagonism 38.89%, innovative 27.78%, Challenger 11, 11%, Effective 11.11%, paradigm shift 5.55% and knowledge building 5 , 55%. The most used methodologies TBL 77.8% reported using this methodology, 72.2% use PBL, 66.7%, seminar 38.9%, Integrated Panel 33.3%, Gamification 16.7, PJBL, 11.1 % Peer Instruction 11.11%, GVGO, 11.1%. As for the potentiality of the active methods, these were highlighted as follows: 33.33% “for stimulating critical awareness and creativity”, 27.77% “for gradual development, 27.77% allows student autonomy, 5, 55% the maturation of the students. The favoring of teacher development with active methodologies was referenced as follows: Dynamic 5.55%, Process under construction 33.33%, Active methodologies stimulate teacher updating and improvement 33.33%, Challenging and motivating 16.66%. Conclusion: It was understood, therefore, that the active methods allow and challenge teachers to a continuous and permanent (self) formative process whether it is captured by the institution, as well as by the desire for teacher self-learning.Item Mídia digital: uma ferramenta para o ensino da aferição da pressão arterial em crianças e adolescentes(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2019-02-04) Damasceno, Renata Trindade; Pinto, Ana Rachel; Del Nero, Luciana Brandão Carreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056614008350803; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2268370803567328; Oikawa, Érika; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4276065633580595; Nunes, Leonardo Mendes Acatauassú; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3512764081076675; Chermont, Aurimery Gomes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4212769913736000; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Figueiredo, Fernanda Andreza de Pinho Lott; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7138897986179124The use of technology in the field of health education has transformed the teaching-learning process and the relationship between the teacher and his student. The educational institutions have sought to overcome the challenge of meeting the needs of a generation used to the technological means, as well as to train teachers capable of helping the student to reach the necessary skills for professional life. Despite the fact that hypertension in childhood is a predictor of hypertension in adult life and its correct measurement is indispensable for the diagnosis and treatment of this condition, the knowledge of the correct technique of measurement is still uncommon. OBJECTIVE: Considering the need for new forms of communication in the medical school as well as share knowledge in a creative and dynamic way this study aims to develop a digital media (video blog) that demonstrates the correct technique of blood pressure measurement in children and adolescents, evaluating its functionality in this respect. METHODOLOGY: The research was descriptive, cross-sectional, with the aid of a semi-structured questionnaire, applied to the students of the fourth year of the medical course of the Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará. RESULTS: The data showed that 93.3% of participants do not have the habit of measuring blood pressure in the pediatric age group, 94.6% believe that they do not perform the procedure correctly, 44% present errors in the selection of the material, 70% do not know how to prepare the patient, 40% reveal lack of techniques inherent to the professional. for the accurate measurement; 99.9% of the students stated that they did not know the guidelines that establish the norms of pressure measurement, especially the chapter aimed at children and adolescents and 94.6% stated that digital media are already used in their teaching-learning process. The display of the audiovisual resource of the video blog promoted an increase in the number of correct responses in three of the four domains surveyed and the media of correct answers remained constant in the periods analyzed after the video was presented. CONCLUSION: The audiovisual resource worked very well as a tool for share information; the teacher of higher education in health is able to build a digital media as a teaching-learning tool, as long as properly trained, requiring for this, technological literacy and educational foundation.Item O desenvolvimento da empatia em estudantes de medicina: uma oficina como proposta de ensino(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Mendonça, Bianca Paracampos Barros; Nunes, Ismaelino Mauro Magno; Carvalho, Ana Emília Vita; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1981562999898097; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3841081216551678; Furlaneto, Ismari Perini; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9542085122721945; Soeiro, Ana Cristina Vidigal; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6698869828155009; Del Nero, Luciana Brandão Carreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5056614008350803; Martins Filho, Arnaldo Jorge; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4561018485947813; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040The doctor-patient relationship is a fundamental element in medicine and provides better adherence to treatment, better clinical outcomes and greater patient satisfaction. The ability to communicate and understand the other in different ways, perceive their needs and predict people's reactions, contributes to the success of this relationship. Empathy emerges as an important instrument for the construction of this bond, having been listed as a primordial element, impacting the health of the patient and the professional. This study aimed to know the level of empathy in medical students, from the assessment of patients and the self-assessment of students, through the application of the Jefferson Scale in two versions, for students and patients, and develop a workshop for teaching the empathy. The results obtained that in the students' self-assessment the general average of the total score reached a good score. Even so, the overall score attributed by the patients was higher than the result of the self-assessment carried out by the students, that is, correct empathy for the students reached a lower mean and a lower proportion when compared to the results of the patients. There was no statistically significant relationship between the dimensions of empathy and the sociodemographic variables, although the findings raised interesting questions. As an example, a perspective taking showing an increase in the more advanced semesters, while a dimension capable of putting itself in the patient's shoes, was more evident in the initial semesters. This indicates the need for new and ongoing research on empathy, especially on empathic dimensions and their possible correlations with variables that influence empathic behavior. The workshop proposed in this study, as a product, is intended to serve as an instrument for teaching empathy, using active methodologies, to be routinely performed during the student's course at the academy. An exercise, practical experience lived realistically.Item O ensino de endocrinologia e metabologia pela aprendizagem baseada em problemas: a experiência de 20 turmas de medicina(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021-04-14) Rocha, Vanessa Campos Couto da; Nunes, Leonardo Mendes Acatauassú; Caldato, Milena Coelho Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9477878606835309; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3512764081076675; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Magno, Ismaelino Mauro Nunes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3841081216551678; Liberati, Rosana Maria Feio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3818175484709618Introduction: Problem-Based Learning (PBL) has been the preferred teachinglearning methodology among medical schools in Brazil in recent years. Thereby, there is an increasing number of Medicine courses getting experience in this method, such as the Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará (CESUPA), which the twentieth class of Medicine concluded teaching by PBL in 2020. In this context, it is relevant the analysis of how this teaching has been carried out and how it has evolved over the years, especially in areas that are interrelated with various organic systems and that involve very prevalent pathologies and that will be conducted by Primary Care Physicians, as the case of Endocrinology and Metabolism (E/M). Objectives: To describe how cognitive aspects related to E/M teaching were worked by the PBL methodology from the first to the twentieth class of CESUPA Medicine course, identifying the moments of the course in which they were studied, pointing out the changes that occurred over time and analyzing if there was a distribution of the contents so that the themes were reviewed with increasing levels of complexity. In addition, it aimed to develop, at the end, a teaching guide proposal of E/M related themes for medical courses that will use active methodologies. Methodology: A review of 360 manuals used by tutors from the first to the eighth semester of the course, in its first 20 classes, was carried out. In these manuals, there were problems to be developed, with their respective learning objectives, in addition to the objectives of the morphofunctional laboratory. Then, a critical and descriptive analysis of the E/M content present in these manuals was carried out, evaluating how the evolution of this teaching occurred over the years. Finally, the proposal for the aforementioned guide was constructed. Results: It was observed that the themes related to the Endocrinological System are distributed throughout each of the first eight semesters of the course. The initial focus is on anatomy, histology and physiology, however, from the very beginning there are citations of the pathologies that affect this system, which allows contextualization and meaningful learning. Subsequently, the subjects are revisited with progressive deepening in relation to the management of patients. Over the years, there have been significant changes, especially in the detailing and standardization of the manuals, beyond description of well-defined objectives to be achieved in the morphofunctional laboratory. Discussion: The most cited endocrine theme among the manuals is Diabetes Mellitus, which is explained for being a very prevalent pathology with high morbidity. On the other hand, obesity, which has been steadily increasing in prevalence, has also shown a progressive increase in citations in the manuals over the years. Rare pathologies were in fact not prioritized as topics for discussion, however it is suggested to expand the presence among the problems of some frequent pathologies such as thyroid nodules. Conclusion: The teaching of E/M was carried out in a well distributed way over the first four years of the CESUPA Medicine course and the way of doing it evolved significantly during its first 20 classes.Item O peer instruction (instrução por pares) como estratégia metodológica no ensino-aprendizagem da reanimação neonatal(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2020) Costa, Edilene Silva da; Dantas, Elza Ezilda Valente; Pinto, Ana Rachel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2268370803567328; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3951303999926297; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Magno, Ismaelino Mauro Nunes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3841081216551678; Reis Junior, Leandro Passarinho; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8106073837131437; Teixeira, Renato da Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3506765836592906; Carvalho, Ana Emília Vita; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1981562999898097The theme The Peer Instruction (Peer Instruction) as a Methodological Strategy in the Teaching-Learning of Neonatal Resuscitation is linked to the research line of the teaching-learning process in the medical field, and aims at the methodological debate about the training of Resuscitation, currently based in its theoretical section, in traditional methodologies, through lectures, observing a great disinterest of the students. In this sense, try to seek alternatives for the teaching-learning process, used in the experimental character of the active PI methodology, associated with the Socrative online voting system, Objectives: to evaluate the level of learning, satisfaction and motivation about the neonatal resuscitation course, comparing students' estimates of traditional methodology and PI; Methodology: the subjects of this research were undergraduate medical students from the 5th year of CESUPA (Centro Universitário do Pará), studying the practical module of pediatrics at Hospital Divina Providência, where a research was carried out. The students were divided into four classes, two of which received traditional training and two received PI training, as classes were randomly randomized by students, a data collection was carried out over the six-month period (March to August/2019), were investigated through answers in the selection test of the neonatal resuscitation course choice, all students after a capacity response in a likert type questionnaire with their opinions on the methodologies employed. Results: the answers to the questions showed a similar level of learning in the two methodologies during the first round of voting, but in the second round, where the answers were 30-70%, the students talked to their peers and voted again, generating a statistically difference significant (p = 0.0065 *). It was observed that both methodologies are positive in training. The PI group achieved a statistically significant outcome in the answer I totally agree (p = 0.0325 *), the students of both methodologies disagree, mostly, that there are learning barriers in relation to the applied methodologies, and the PI group obtained a difference statistically significant in the answer I totally disagree (p = 0.0465 *). The theme that obtained the greatest statistical difference was the motivation generated in IP (p = 0.0021 *). The online voting carried out by the Socrative application was evaluated only by students in the PI group with a very significant statistical result in relation to their positivity (p = 0.0001 *). Conclusion: The PI achieved promising results, confirming itself as an innovative methodology, capable of generating significant learning.Item Perfil do nível de realização de atividade física em estudantes do curso de medicina do Centro Universitário do Pará (CESUPA)(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2019) Rios, Paulo Marcelo Lopes; Gomes, Patrick Abdala Fonseca; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6060836341247026; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Magno, Ismaelino Mauro Nunes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3841081216551678; Farias, Alexandre Maia de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5345971413199993; Carvalho, Ana Emília Vita; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1981562999898097This research has sought to analyse the level of physical activity of medicine students from the Centro Universitario do estado do Para, in light of the importance of practicing physical exercises in all stages of life, especially at the stage of life the subjects find themselves and considering the many challenges they face at this stage in their lives. To undertake the evaluation, the students responded the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) which contains questions surrounding the students’ daily routine and their relationship with the practice of physical exercises. At the end of the questionnaire, the students were classed as: sedentary, irregularly active, active or very active. The result of the questionnaire made possible to identify how many students do not practice physical activity, how many do not practice enough physical activity, the motives behind students abstaining from practicing physical activities and the period in which they have more difficulty in maintaining an exercise routine, with the objective of creating solutions for these issues and examine in which way the institution can instigate positive change to reverse the sedentary behaviour of some students. Having regard to the relationship between physical activity and good academic performance, this study tackled the importance of physical activity for the student’s quality of life and the issues its absence may create for the student’s performance and general health. The data has been expressed in the form of average +-, standard deviation, median and interquartile deviation and 95% confidence intervals, as appropriate, and presented in tables or figures. The normality of the distributions was verified by the D'Agostino and Pearson Normality test. This paper evaluated 256 students, distributed from the 1st to the 12th semester. The results have shown that 45,2% of first-year students practice less physical activity than necessary for good health and school performance. In the second year, the number is 62% and in the third year, 56.9%. This trend only reverses in the last year of college, where the number of active or very active students is 50.1%. The study clearly showed the need for students to increase physical activity.Item Prevalência de sobrepeso e obesidade e sua correlação com nível de atividade física e perfil nutricional em escolares de uma instituição de ensino público municipal no estado do Pará(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2022-10-19) Batista, Elysson Raul Ferreira; Miranda, Ariney Costa de; Paes, Bruno Acatauassú; Corrêa, Cláudio Eduardo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7448998858430931; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0967752058385887; Barreto, Bruno Acatauassú Paes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4741205865293040; Teixeira, Cláudio Eduardo Corrêa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7448998858430931; Cardoso, Thais Cristina Franco; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3752413982659840; Caldato, Milena Coelho Fernandes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9477878606835309; Oliveira, Edilea Monteiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2758712667035434INTRODUCTION: Several factors are involved in the etiology of overweight and obesity, among which we can mention as primary the energy imbalance between calories ingested and spent, obtained mainly from the change in eating habits in which there was a higher consumption of industrialized foods, rich in fats, sugars and salt; and consequent reduction in physical activities, bringing us more and more to sedentary lifestyle (WHO, 2014). OBJECTIVE: To verify the prevalence of overweight and obesity in elementary school students, final years (6th to 9th grade), aged between 10 and 15 years of the educational institution Laércio Wilson Barbalho Municipal School in Ananindeua - PA and its correlation with habitual physical activity and nutritional profile. METHODOLOGY: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study, conducted through an interview using a structured questionnaire for the evaluation of the following variables: schooling, gender, age, eating and leisure habits, collected through a 24-hour recall and physical activity questionnaires in the Physical Activity Questionnaire for Older Children (PAQ-C) and Physical Activity Questionnaire for Adolescents (PAQ-A). Weight and height were collected to calculate the body mass index (BMI) using a scale and a statometer. RESULTS: The study participants 266 students, with a mean age of 13.61 (±1.32), most females (51.9%), attended the ninth year (32.7%), had the ideal weight (46.2%) and was sufficiently active (52.3%), 45.2% of schoolchildren were overweight, 48.12% were insufficiently active, no relationship was observed between the above-normal body mass index (overweight and obesity) and the dietary profile in the population, no relationship was observed between the above-normal body mass index (overweight and obesity) and the level of physical activity in the population studied (Contingency coefficient=0.086, p=0.34), but a weak relationship was observed between the body mass index within normality (ideal weight) and the level of physical activity (Contingency coefficient=0.277, p<0.01). CONCLUSION: Approximately half of the participants were above the ideal weight. No relationship was found between overweight and food intake of students, but a relationship was evidenced between those with the ideal weight and the level of physical activity. A technical report was prepared with suggestions for changes in the physical education curriculum component, aiming to monitor and intervene in the level of physical activity and weight of students and proposing changes in life habits in order to minimize the possible future damage caused by overweight and inactivity.
