Item O uso da Shantala para promoção do desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor de crianças de zero a dois anos na atenção primária(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023) Peixoto, Ana Paula Meireles; Martins, Marícia de Souza; Alcântara, Rita Cristina Cotta; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8357709486728408; Lopes, Geovanna Lemos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8531597692485679; Amaral, Margareth FerreiraObjectives: To analyze the repercussion of using Shantala in promoting neuropsychomotor development in children from zero to two years old without a diagnosis of neurological pathologies. Methods: Collective case study with content analysis, conducted using Bardin's method, involving mothers and their respective children followed by the Basic Health Unit team in the municipality of Belém-PA, Brazil. Eligible participants underwent an initial interview conducted by the authors, containing questions about the family's sociodemographic profile and the child's pre-, peri-, and postnatal history. The modified Denver II Scale was used to evaluate the child's neuropsychomotor development before and after practicing Shantala. Results: Thirty mothers with their respective children were contacted, with 15 selected for meeting the inclusion criteria. It was observed that the 15 children initially identified with neuropsychomotor developmental delays showed improvements according to the modified Denver II Scale. These improvements were not only evident in neuropsychomotor development but also in behavioral aspects, strengthening the bond between the child and the mother. Additionally, positive effects were observed on peristalsis, the immune system, and sleep quality. Conclusion: Shantala emerges as an accessible technique easily assimilated by mothers, eliminating the need for professional assistance for its execution. Moreover, it demonstrated efficacy, providing benefits in infant neuropsychomotor development.Item Responsabilidade social acadêmica frente às dificuldades na aprendizagem e alterações no comportamento: Relato de experiência(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2022) Ferreira, Camila de Morais; Bessa, Ana Carolina Ferreira; Corrêa, Raissa Maria Botelho; Boulhosa, Fabiano José da Silva; Alcântara, Rita Cristina Cotta; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8357709486728408; Teixeira, Renato da Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3506765836592906; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3994622253119424Report how the educational community deals with students who exhibit behavioral changes and learning difficulties. It is a descriptive study in the form of an experiential report, based on the experiences and observations of students in the undergraduate Physiotherapy program at the Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará (CESUPA) in Belém-PA. It was found that the introduction of active methods and practical classes contributes positively to various aspects of development, but it is also found that it evokes various emotions and pre-existing symptoms; students develop socioemotional attitudes and the teacher's focus beyond that of a formal relationship is vital to recognizing their potential and needs. Finally, the importance of SAE and the involvement of the family in the institution was also delineated. Furthermore, the presence of students with behavioral changes and learning difficulties within the university requires changes and adaptations within the institution. This is to ensure that their academic performance is not affected, and to target academic social responsibility in addition to working with ethical principles to foster academic development.Item O uso da reflexologia podal no controle de dores musculoesqueléticas em bailarinas clássicas(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2021) Santos, Gabriela Godinho Bernardes Arnaud dos; Neri, Yasmim Rabelo; Alcântara, Rita Cristina Cotta; Almeida, Pedro Savio Macedo de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4580490805670307; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8357709486728408To analyze the effects of foot reflexology in the control of musculoskeletal pain in classical dancers. It had a total sample of 9 participants divided into 3 different groups of treatment: 1- foot reflexology, 2- conventional kinesiotherapy and 3- foot reflexology and conventional kinesiotherapy. It was performed 10 sessions, being 3 sessions per week of 50 minutes each. The group with the association of the 2 treatment techniques obtained the best result when compared to the averages of the variables, presenting the greatest drop in pain score, however the group returned with an increase in pain intensity after 30 days. Moreover, it was possible to observe that the most recurrent age group presenting symptoms was 19 to 23 years old, and low back pain was the most frequent complaint. It is important to continue the physiotherapeutic monitoring and insert foot reflexology with kinesiotherapy in the monitoring, providing thesedancers with several benefits that may prevent future absences from training and stages. With the growing demand for children with ASD and their need for early intervention, how can technological advances and caregiver support be leveraged to develop psychomotor skills? Design: Experimental, single-blind, randomized clinical trial. Participants: Children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, both genders, aged 2 to 6, with support levels 1 and 2. Intervention: Psychomotor activities involving balance, gross motor skills, lateralization, and body awareness were conducted for all research groups, totaling 12 physical therapy sessions over a three-month period. An app containing information and videos of the same activities was also made available to caregivers of the experimental group for home practice. Outcome measures: The Vitor da Fonseca BPM battery (the main measure used to quantify the psychomotor skill scores of children with autism) was used to establish the child's psychomotor profile. Other outcomes were measured using measures of central tendency, the F test, and the Tukey test. Results: It was observed that psychomotor intervention in children with ASD has positive results, however, the development of the application did not obtain good adherence from parents, due to the short time of use, thus it did not present good results regarding the improvement of psychomotor skills.
