Item A importância da espiritualidade como auxílio para o tratamento de pessoas diagnosticadas com transtorno depressivo e/ou ansioso(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-09-04) Fernandes, Geovana Rebeca Matos Cavaleiro de Macedo; Reis, José de Arimateia Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3976380225171903; Rocha, Ana Maria Campos da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2536162608819102; Coêlho, Nilzabeth Leite; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9490576254567337The research aims to understand how spirituality can influence the psychological and emotional well-being of people diagnosed with anxiety and depression, considering the growing search for complementary approaches in the area of mental health and its possible importance in the processes of coping with depressive-anxiety problems. , whose objective is to analyze the importance of spirituality and its intersection with health, a complementary resource for the treatment of individuals suffering from depression and anxiety, always respecting their ethical and cultural principles. This is a quantitative-qualitative, descriptive, transversal and exploratory project. The sample was designed using the “Snowball sampling” method, with 52 responses being collected, but with the application of the inclusion and exclusion criteria proposed in the research; 32 participants were analyzed according to specifications. Data were collected through scales and a questionnaire related to the topic covered, identified as: 1) Sociodemographic Questionnaire; 2) Questionnaire with complementary questions to the spiritual self-knowledge scale, prepared by the researcher and entitled “Exploring Spirituality”; 3) Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS); 4) Spiritual Self-Knowledge Scale. Through this research, the results indicate that spirituality plays a significant role as a complement in the treatment of people diagnosed with depressive and/or anxiety disorders. All this investigation, as shown by the results and the discussion, came across strategies linked to spirituality and religion used by people, mixed with traditional treatments and diagnoses obtained from health professionals, always aiming at well-being, emotional health and the improvement of individuals, with the idea that the theme and the search need to come from the patient.Item Foi o boto ou o homem: uma revisão narrativa sobre os impactos psicoemocionais e socioculturais da lenda do boto em mulheres ribeirinhas vítimas de estupro(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-09-03) Faria, Ana Gabriela Damasceno; Reis, José de Arimateia Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3976380225171903; Hage, Zakiee Castro Mufarrej; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0593579703870586; Lima, Maria Lúcia Chaves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2883065146680171This study explores the interconnection between the legend of the Pink Dolphin, the issue of rape of women, and patriarchal structures in riverside communities. In view of this, we seek to analyze how the legend of the Dolphin can influence cultural perceptions, the invisibility and underreporting of cases of sexual violence, and, above all, perpetuate gender norms that contribute to women's vulnerability to rape. Methodologically, it is characterized as a narrative literature review, with a cross-sectional design, of a descriptive and exploratory nature, with the purpose of updating the bibliographical references and providing reflections on the topic. Five articles published between 2019 and 2024 were used, obtained through searches in Google Scholar, Pepsic, and Scielo. These studies were selected based on their abstracts and objectives. Thus, it is worth highlighting that this article will contribute to a deeper and more up-to-date understanding of the complex interactions between cultural myths, sexual violence, gender violence, and patriarchal structures. The analysis of the materials shows that it was difficult to gather articles that dealt with the psychological, emotional and sociocultural impacts prevalent in riverside women who are victims of rape, as well as substantial data on rape cases on Amazonian islands and their relationship with the Legend of the Boto. In short, it is necessary to recognize the role of society as a significant agent in combating the silencing of women who are victims of violence, seeking mechanisms that contribute to strengthening practices that reduce it. It is therefore expected that the results of this research will foster the development of public policies, or the refinement of those that are in force, in addition to allowing greater visibility to an urgent and necessary issue, through clarification/psychoeducation on the subject, aiming at reducing cases of rape in riverside communities.Item Os processos de luto vivenciados por profissionais que atuam no contexto da oncologia infantil(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-09-04) Peres, André Vinícius dos Santos; Silva, Isabelle Risuenho Marques da; Reis, José de Arimateia Rodrigues; Cruz, Edson Júnior Silva da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0227617708373838; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3976380225171903; Carvalho, Ana Emília Vita; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1981562999898097; Martins, Letícia Costa Simões; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3948148691361535Grief in pediatric cancer is a challenging process for both families and healthcare professionals, with profound effects on the mental health of the latter. The lack of proper grief processing can lead to severe emotional implications, highlighting the importance of psychological support within multidisciplinary teams. This study aimed to investigate the emotional impact of grief on professionals working in pediatric oncology and its influence on mental health and work quality. The research was descriptive, cross-sectional, and qualitative, with semi-structured interviews conducted with 15 professionals from a reference hospital in pediatric oncology in Belém, Pará. The results showed that professionals face significant emotional complexity, with grief being a recurring experience, and the need for emotional support being emphasized. The study also pointed out that parenthood intensifies reactions to grief, influencing the handling of loss, and unrecognized grief was identified as a factor affecting the quality of care. Two main categories were identified: understandings of death and pediatric grief, and emotional bonds with pediatric patients and coping mechanisms for grief. It was concluded that parenthood and unrecognized grief are crucial themes, suggesting the need for greater emotional support and more research in the field.Item Prevalência de estresse, ansiedade e depressão na experiência de familiares cuidadores de pacientes em cuidados paliativos domiciliares(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-09-02) Souza, Ana Lucila Barbosa de; Reis, José de Arimateia Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3976380225171903; Mendonça, Mariana Barreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1511266218371754; Carvalho, Eluana Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1268574236189819Introduction: The experience of death lacks dialogue and confrontation, especially in the context of an aging population and the increase in chronic and incurable diseases. Consequently, the demand for palliative care, a health intervention focused on relieving suffering, promoting autonomy, and improving the quality of life for both patients and their families, is rising. The home becomes a favorable environment for this type of care, where the family caregiver may neglect their own health and face physical and emotional challenges. Objective: To identify the prevalence of stress, anxiety, and depression among family caregivers of patients receiving palliative care at home. Method: A cross-sectional, exploratory, and descriptive study, with a quantitative and qualitative data analysis, conducted at the homes of patients assisted by a Home Care Service from the public health system in Belém, PA. A Sociodemographic Questionnaire, a structured interview guide, and the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21) were used for data collection. Data were analyzed using JAMOVI 2.3.28 software and Google Excel spreadsheets. Results: The study included 20 family caregivers, 80% of whom were women. Most caregivers showed moderate levels of anxiety, and a correlation was found between caregiver burden and the severity of the patients' health conditions. No significant relationships were identified between caregiver burden and stress, anxiety, or depression. Discussion: Caregiver burden may result from various conditions within the caregiver's life context. Social support was crucial, and the severity of the patient's illness exacerbated the burden. Conclusion: Caregivers face a substantial burden due to caregiving demands. Public policies to provide adequate support and longitudinal studies to deepen the understanding of caregivers' needs are recommended.
