A prática da obsolescência programada no âmbito das relações de consumo: o incremento dos recall's e o aumento da descartabilidade precoce dos bens de consumo

Abstract

This work had as an immediate objective to demonstrate to what extent the programmed obsolescence interferes in the increase recalls in the scope of consumer relations and in Brazilian consumer law. The hypothetical-deductive method is used and a bibliographical and documentary survey is carried out on the subject. For this, a study will be carried out on the hyperconsumption society, the consumer profiles resulting from it, as well as the appearance of the phenomena of the dematerialization of the currency, as a way to facilitate access to credit by this consumer. Next, it is the phenomenon of programmed obsolescence, passing through its historical origins, modalities, with the purpose of answering in what way the publicity stimulates the practice of programmed obsolescence. Finally, it is explained how the practice of programmed obsolescence causes the increase of the number of recalls in Brazil, first portraying this institute in Brazilian consumer law, and then demonstrate the fragility of consumer goods before the incidence of both the phenomena in the low durability of the same.
