In the last decade, there has been a progressive increase in PICS in the scope of APS across the country, however, the difficulties encountered by health professionals in the implementation of these services in basic health units are notorious, in addition to the challenges encountered for adequate training in integrative practices. In this way, the present work aims to understand the current regional scenario about the knowledge, qualities and challenges faced by doctors and nurses for the fullness of PICS. To assess the knowledge of health professionals about Integrative and Complementary Practices. This is an analytical, observational and cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, carried out in the city of Ananindeua, using data collected through questionnaires applied to medical professionals and nurses. All health professionals interviewed face difficulties within the scope of PICS, with significant justification for lack of training and access during graduation. Despite the majority showing interest in the practices, there are still professionals who are disinterested and discredited with the proposed benefits. It was perceptive in this study the lack of doctors and nurses from health units in region 1 of Ananindeua-PA adequately trained to carry out complementary and integrative practices in the assisted regions. It is vital that there are changes in the approach to integrative and complementary practices in the faculties of medicine and nursing, as well as encouraging health management in this environment.Item O uso da Shantala para promoção do desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor de crianças de zero a dois anos na atenção primária(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023) Peixoto, Ana Paula Meireles; Martins, Marícia de Souza; Alcântara, Rita Cristina Cotta; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8357709486728408; Lopes, Geovanna Lemos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8531597692485679; Amaral, Margareth FerreiraObjectives: To analyze the repercussion of using Shantala in promoting neuropsychomotor development in children from zero to two years old without a diagnosis of neurological pathologies. Methods: Collective case study with content analysis, conducted using Bardin's method, involving mothers and their respective children followed by the Basic Health Unit team in the municipality of Belém-PA, Brazil. Eligible participants underwent an initial interview conducted by the authors, containing questions about the family's sociodemographic profile and the child's pre-, peri-, and postnatal history. The modified Denver II Scale was used to evaluate the child's neuropsychomotor development before and after practicing Shantala. Results: Thirty mothers with their respective children were contacted, with 15 selected for meeting the inclusion criteria. It was observed that the 15 children initially identified with neuropsychomotor developmental delays showed improvements according to the modified Denver II Scale. These improvements were not only evident in neuropsychomotor development but also in behavioral aspects, strengthening the bond between the child and the mother. Additionally, positive effects were observed on peristalsis, the immune system, and sleep quality. Conclusion: Shantala emerges as an accessible technique easily assimilated by mothers, eliminating the need for professional assistance for its execution. Moreover, it demonstrated efficacy, providing benefits in infant neuropsychomotor development.
