(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-09-02) Raiol, Maria Eduarda Moita; Souza, Maria Helena Watrin; Hage, Zakiee Castro Mufarrej; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0593579703870586; Moreira, Jenifer Leda Muniz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0704977947359760; Nascimento, Beatriz Rodrigues
According to the DSM-5, Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is defined as a persistent preoccupation with perceived flaws or imperfections, significantly affecting an individual's perception of their body image. This excessive concern with appearance results in considerable distress, which in turn substantially impacts daily activities and social relationships. The objective of this study was to conduct a qualitative investigation to identify the primary challenges faced by psychologists and to describe the strategies they employ in clinical management, with the aim of understanding their impact and effectiveness. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with four psychologists, each with a minimum of six months of experience in managing cases related to BDD. The research adopted a multiple case study methodology, analyzing events within their real contexts, thereby capturing the complexity of the process through a qualitative approach. The analysis addressed topics such as misinformation and the family environment, body image and social media, clinical approaches to treatment, and the use of scales. Thus, it is concluded that due to the inherent complexity of the participants' experiences, this approach facilitated a more in-depth reflection on the subject, thereby contributing to the advancement of knowledge and the enrichment of the existing literature.

Comportamentos de risco para transtornos alimentares e autoimagem: a influência das redes sociais em mulheres brasileiras
(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-09-04) Barros, Ana Paula Monteiro; Nobre, Milena Moreira; Brandão, Nicolle da Rocha Esteves; Hage, Zakiee Castro Mufarrej; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0593579703870586; Muniz, Jenifer Leda Figueiredo; Nascimento, Beatriz Rodrigues
Body image refers to the subjective perception a person has of their own body, shaped by sensory, psychodynamic, and cultural factors. Over time, beauty standards and the perception of the female body have undergone significant transformations. Historically, different cultural and social periods have shaped and redefined these standards, reflecting the predominant norms and values of each era, with these being particularly evident in the 21st century with the rise of social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. The aim of this cross-sectional study was to investigate the influence of these social networks on the perception of female body image and the risk factors for eating disorders in 115 young adult Brazilian women. A quantitative applied method was used, employing an authorial form based on the BSQ-34, EAT-26 instruments, and DSM-V criteria. The statistical results of this study suggest evidence that body dissatisfaction caused by the constant pursuit of beauty standards, pressure regarding body image, and changes in eating habits may be directly associated with the use of the researched social media platforms, along with the consumption of related media content and the symptomatology of eating disorders.

Technological dependency is defined by the compulsive use of electronic devices, leading to significant disruptions in essential life domains, such as interpersonal relationships, academic or work performance, and physical health. Excessive technology use can hinder the development of social skills, as in-person interactions are increasingly replaced by virtual ones. This study aimed to explore the relationship between technological dependency and social skills among university students, focusing on the patterns of technology use and evaluating their social competencies. The sample consisted of 40 students from the Centro Universitário do Pará (Cesupa). Data collection involved a questionnaire, the Internet Addiction Test (used to measure technological dependency), and the Social Skills Inventory 2 (IHS 2). A quantitative analysis was conducted to assess statistical differences across groups. The findings revealed a correlation between technological dependency and social skills among the students, indicating that excessive technology use negatively impacts daily activities and social interactions due to deficiencies in essential social skills.

This research performs a theoretical study on the danger of mass data manipulation in social networks. In the context raised, it evaluates the basic concepts of Personal Data Protection, and which risks they are subject to when they pass through the scope of the private business sector, in a non-exhaustive analysis of the subject. It seeks, from this point of view, to list compliance as a security mechanism, raising the main tools of a Compliance Program to demonstrate its indispensability in the self-regulation of social network management companies, helping legitimized bodies such as the National Data Protection Authority. The basis for the work is mostly legal, with the General Data Protection Law, the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union, authors in the area and bibliographic research as guides.

(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2023) Santos, Livia Pantoja dos; Oikawa, Erika; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4276065633580595; Leão, Danuta de Cássia Leite; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3967549374195129; Oliveira, Fransuze dos Santos
This project proposes the development of a digital communication plan, focused on Instagram, to promote and publicize ecotourism on Cotijuba Island, led by the Women's Movement of the Islands of Belém (MMIB). The relevance of social media, particularly Instagram, is emphasized as an effective tool for disseminating information and engaging the community. Considering the specific context of Cotijuba Island and MMIB's efforts to promote ecotourism in an associative manner, the proposal to create an Instagram page aims to boost local community-based tourism, a significant potential for income generation and ecological awareness promotion. The strategy seeks to turn challenges into opportunities by leveraging the power of social media to connect tourists with the natural and cultural riches of the region. Thus, it contributes to the social and cultural development proposed by MMIB, highlighting the importance of the innovative use of social media in the context of the Third Sector.
