According to the Ministry of Health, cancer (CA) derives from multiple cumulative effects, due to disordered cell growth in the presence of neoplastic agents, as normal cells multiply naturally, responding to the body's needs, cancerous grow uncontrollably, forming abnormal cells, invading and compromising organs and tissues. Nutrition can be a great ally in preventing the development of the disease, since the consumption of foods rich in fiber, vegetables, fruits and “good” fats is a preventive factor, but it can be considered a risk factor, if the consumption of processed foods, deli meats, red meat, among others, is excessive. To develop an educational technology (ET) for users of primary health care on food for the prevention of breast cancer. Review study with a qualitative approach, carried out through methodological development, divided into two stages: integrative literature review (ILR) and production of ET, which is a digital booklet. The protective factors identified were the consumption of natural or minimally processed foods, such as vegetables, fruits, grains, seasonings and spices. While the excessive consumption of red meat, whole milk and derivatives rich in fat, deli meats, soft drinks, industrialized foods are considered risk factors. After the survey and organization of significant topics, the development of the booklet was started, with easy understanding content, containing in its extension the use of images and adequate textual content. In view of what has been explained, it is essential to produce educational technologies that allow subsidizing health actions to prevent breast CA.

Impacto clínico e prognóstico das modificações no sistema TNM do American Joint Committee For Cancer oitava edição em pacientes com câncer de mama
(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2019) Bohne, Mariana Rocha; Khayat, Yasmin de Farias; Pereira, Cynthia Mara Brito Lins; Khayat, André Salim; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6305099258051586; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3186657130674078
Introduction: Breast cancer is in fifth place as the cause of cancer death in the world population. In Brazil, this neoplasm is a first in the female public, without considering non-melanoma skin cancer. However, with the objective of conducting early research on the biological causes of breast cancer, there was a great reduction in mortality rates and greater survival in patients with metastatic disease. The American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) is a state cancer system that enables disease progression. The AJCC instituted its history form based on anatomical information of the primary tumor ("T"), regional lymph nodes ("N") and metastases ("M"). Biological factors, tumor grade, estrogen receptor (ER) positivity, HER2 and progesterone receptor (PR), were included in the eighth edition of the manual, implemented in 2018. Aim: This work aimed to analyze the impact generated by the update of the TNM / AJCC staging system (eighth edition) and to elucidate the importance of including the biological factors and other modifications of the new system for a better medical approach. Method: A retrospective, analytical, cross-sectional, and documentary study of a qualitative approach in which patients with breast cancer were submitted to Ophir Loyola Hospital in 2018, having undergone the cancer staging of the TNM of the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) seventh edition, so that it could be reclassified according to the prognostic status of the eighth edition of this manual. Socio-demographic data, hormonal and reproductive histories, risk factors related to cancer, anatomopathological characteristics, biological factors and molecular subtype of the tumors were considered. Conclusion: Changes in the stage of the breast cancer patients evaluated after the reclassification with the eighth edition of the TNM / AJCC system were found, so that there was a positive impact of this system on the prognostic targeting, generating a better therapeutic selection.

Perfil epidemiológico de pacientes com diagnóstico de câncer de mama no Pará entre os anos 2020 a 2024
(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-06-03) Motta, Camila Bentes; Bezerra, Luna Wanessa Vianna; Silva, Flávia Vasconcelos da; Barros, Luiz Fernando Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5387620245589910; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9850385940493229; Ladeira, Érika Sampaio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9523140163001182; Lima, Leila Suely Aviz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9617281351879911
Introduction: Introduction: Epidemiological studies play a crucial role in understanding cancer, a malignant disease that has been a significant cause throughout history. Cancer is characterized by the formation of neoplastic cells and the rapid dissemination capacity within the body. Such studies provide valuable information on the incidence, risk factors, clinical characteristics, and outcomes of breast cancer, enabling the development of effective strategies for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Objective: The objective of this study was to characterize the clinical and epidemiological profile of patients diagnosed with breast cancer between 2020 and 2024. Methodology: A descriptive study was carried out, based on data from DATASUS in order to identify the clinical profile-epidemiological analysis of patients diagnosed with breast cancer from 2020 to 2024. Results and discussion: During the period analyzed, breast cancer was more common in women, with 1,535 registered cases, compared to just 16 cases in men. The most prevalent age group for diagnosis was between 40 and 44 years old, with 206 cases, followed by the 45 to 49 years old group, with 189 cases. There was significant variation in incidence between cities, with Belém presenting the highest number of cases (756 records) and other cities with very low numbers, such as São Caetano de Odivelas and Santa Cruz do Arari, with only 3 cases each. Delivery of test results occurred within 0 to 10 days in most cases, although in some cases there were delays of more than 30 days. These results highlight the importance of awareness, early detection and improving the efficiency of healthcare processes related to breast cancer. Conclusion: The research provided valuable information about the clinical-epidemiological profile of breast cancer during the period analyzed. The results highlighted the higher incidence of the disease in women, the most affected age groups and significant regional variations. This information is essential to identify risk groups, target prevention and treatment strategies, and improve the efficiency of healthcare systems as breast cancer continues to be a challenge for the medical community, highlighting the need for continued research and innovative strategies to improve outcomes.
