Item Start robocoding: uma abordagem da cultura maker para ensino remoto de robótica e programação para crianças utilizando microcontrolador econômico e de baixo consumo(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2022) Lima Filho, Marcelo Saldanha; Sousa, Marcos Paulo Alves deThe COVID-19 pandemic has significantly affected the teaching of robotics in schools. With the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, many schools had to close or migrate to remote education, which changed the way robotics classes were taught. Some challenges of teaching robotics during the pandemic include lack of access to equipment and materials, lack of face-to-face interaction, and unequal access to technology and the internet. However, remote teaching allowed robotics classes to continue even during the pandemic and, currently the remote teaching modality remains strategic in schools while there are COVID outbreaks and social distancing measures. Given this scenario, this work aims at remote teaching of robotics and programming using the maker culture approach, ulsing an open-source online programming platform (Makecode) and an economical and low-power microcontroller (Micro:bit). A robotics workshop with programming was held with 11 children, containing practical and playful activities, allowing children to develop skills such as problem-solving critical thinking. and creativity. After applying the workshop, students, guardians, and the instructor were evaluated, and the results indicate that the workshop produced positive and satisfactory results concerning learning.
