Item Avaliação do perfil de pacientes que realizaram colonoscopia na Fundação Hospital de Clínicas Gaspar Vianna(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2020) Oliveira, Letícia Andrade; Silva, Lucas Coelho da; Caldato, Cassio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7526204330567369Introduction: The colonoscopy is a diagnostic-therapeutycal method by image used to confirm the diagnosys, treatment and surveillence of many pathologies. It helps the early detection and, therefore, in a quicker medical interrvention at the disease’s course, helping it’s prognosys. Objectives: With the relevance of the procedure, it’s highly important to make epidemiologycal statements about the risk groups, age, exams indication, complications and other characteristics, and also correlate the main endoscopy findings with the motivation for requesting the exam on the studied population at the FHCGV. Method: This retrospective study has analysed 1450 registers, obtained by the cadastral informations at the colonoscopy book at the FHCGV, from january of 2013 and december of 2019. Results: The sample was composed by 1450 patients, the femin sex had the higher incidence rates, the ages with the biggest proportion were the group between 60 and 69 years. With regard to the indication for the procedure, there was statisticaly significant proportion (*p < 0.0001) for abdominal pain, followed by digestive hemorraghe and diarrhea. The result was normal for 617 patients (42,6%) and altered for 833 patients (57,4%), in the normal exams the most found indication was diarrhea (53,4%). In the 833 exams with alterations, the most incidente finding was diverticulums (35,7%), wich was statistycaly significant (*p < 0.0001), in relation to the others. Conclusion: This study has shown that, between the most prevalente indications for colonoscopy, abdominal pain has demonstrated to have a statysticaly significant proportion. Was also discovered that, in the exams wich have found pathologycal alterations on they’re results, the most incidente diagnosys was Diverticulum. For those results wich came back with normal/non-pathologycal findings, the most incidente indication to the procedure was Diarrhea.Item Perfil da calprotectina fecal no acompanhamento dos pacientes portadores de doença inflamatória intestinal assistidos pelo CEMEC(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2022) Bastos, Larissa Santos; Pandolfo, Nicolle Astréa Coutinho; Rodrigues, Ana Paula Guimarães; Sampaio, Regiane Miranda Arnund; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4904370452637372; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8714469084529838; Caldato, Cássio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7526204330567369Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) encompasses Chron's Disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), which are chronical clinical conditions, with periods of remission and activity, being potentially serious, with risk of irreversible complications. Thus, patients need a quick approach and effective clinical follow-up, through easily accessible complementary tests, such as fecal calprotectin (FC). To know the FC profile of patients with IBD assisted by the intestinal pathologies outpatient clinic of CEMEC. A descriptive, observational, crosssectional and retrospective study was carried out based on the analysis of data recorded in the patients' medical records, with the results of FC and colonoscopy, followed up from August 2021 to May 2022. 16 patients with IBD were accompanied by the clinic, with UC being diagnosed in 68.75% and CD in 31.25%, with a predominance of females (75%). The FC ranged between 9 and 6,000 mcg/g, with a median equal to 193.0 mcg/g (95% CI 44.0 – 1,497); 25% (4/16; 95%CI 10.2 – 49.5) of the patients had a FC below 50 mcg/g, 25.0% (4/16, 95%CI 10.2 – 49.5) between 50 and 200 mcg/g and 50.0% (8/16, 95%CI 28.0 - 72.0) above 200 mcg/g. It was observed that the patients with the most severe symptoms and clinical manifestations had the tendency to present higher FC results. FC is na accessible and reliable disease marker in the monitoring of disease activity and remission, promoting important benefits in the treatment and control of IBD.
