Item A relação entre síndrome de burnout e lembranças de práticas parentais em estudantes de medicina(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2020) Diniz, Ana Beatriz de Sousa; Jamielniaski, Rafael Almeida Kapassi; Carvalho, Ana Emília Vita; Furlaneto, Ismari Perini; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9542085122721945; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1981562999898097Introduction: Medical students are continuously subjected to stressful factors, predisposing to psychological problems such as Burnout Syndrome. Socioeconomic factors influence the syndrome, but parental practice has not been taken into account in other studies with this population. Objectives: Describe the prevalence of Burnout Syndrome and the model of parenting practices in medical students. Methods: Cross-sectional, analytical and descriptive study with a quantitative approach to the data, in which 189 students from the 1st, 4th and 6th year of a medical course participated, with an average age of 22.9 years, with 60% of the sample being female, 40% male. The data were collected through socio-demographic and economic questionnaire, Maslach Burnout Inventory, and Scale on Memories of Parenting Practices. Results: The studied sample showed that in MBI the highest averages were in the domain 'personal achievement' (40.9). Comparing the MBI scores by academic year, it was found that the 6th grade students had lower 'emotional exhaustion' scores lower than those observed in 1st and 4th year students (p = 0.0117). As for the results in EMBU, the dimension 'emotional warmth' presented higher averages compared to the domain 'rejection' and that the 'overprotection' (p <0.0001).Conclusion: It is considered the importance of stimulating and promoting actions that encourage the performance of extra academic activities for students, as well as involving the family in the experiences of the medical course.Item O excesso da jornada de trabalho do professor e a síndrome de burnout: uma análise dos impactos na saúde psíquica desses trabalhadores(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024) Alencar, Claudio Rafael Queiroz Ferreira; Figueiredo, Neuton Bacha; Ferreira, Vanessa Rocha; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8565252837284537The article has the general objective of investigating the impacts of excessive working hours on the mental health of teaching professionals, especially with regard to the occurrence of the burnout syndrome. A review of recent literature and jurisprudence on the topics of interest was undertaken as a method to analyze the possibility of establishing a connection between the precariousness of teaching work, specifically the normalization of long working hours, and the mental exhaustion syndrome associated with work. The main results of the research point not only to the existence of several gaps in research and discussions aimed at detecting burnout syndrome in the working class when it comes to the specific context of teaching work (which suggests the strong possibility of underdiagnosis and consequent absence of specific policies to improve the working conditions of teaching professionals), but also to a tendency towards an increase, in recent years, of precarious working conditions for teachers, which favor the installation of a condition of psychological exhaustion in these professionals.Item Um olhar para a saúde mental dos profissionais de atendimento pré-hospitalar em instituições filantrópicas: uma revisão integrativa de literatura(Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, 2024-06-14) Cruz, Giovanna Francis Silva; Rosa, João Victor Moura; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4313376872732929; Amorim, Claudiane Santana Silveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1796401874440638; Gomes, Lourdes Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8486690790642676This work aims to investigate the mental health of pre-hospital care professionals in philanthropic institutions, highlighting the relevance of this theme for the quality of life of workers and the efficiency of the services provided. Through an integrative literature review, recent studies that address risk factors and mental health protection of these professionals, as well as institutional psychological support strategies, were analyzed. The research reveals that these workers are subject to high levels of stress, emotional exhaustion and physical exhaustion, resulting from the exhausting nature of rescue and first aid work. It is concluded that it is essential that institutions adopt mental health support policies to minimize the negative impacts of this routine, promoting a healthier and safer work environment for these professionals.
