    Avaliação do desempenho funcional em atletas de alto rendimento praticantes do basquetebol em cadeira de rodas

    The objective of this study was to evaluate the functional performance of highperformance athletes who practice wheelchair basketball. The study is quantitative, analytical, includes players of both sexes, undergoing physiotherapeutic evaluation with the authors' own record, assessment of muscular strength, power and agility. 15 athletes participated, predominantly male, most with perceived difficulty in long passes, free throws and moving shots. An average of 643.6±147.6 cm was obtained for male athletes, classified as advanced intermediates, and 431.2±80.9 cm for female athletes, classified as advanced. The study concludes that the variables measured: strength, power and agility do not directly influence the group's performance.
