According to data from the National Cancer Institute (INCA). Leukemias account for 33% of all malignant diseases affecting children, and are thus the most common disease in the world. When it comes to leukemia in pediatric cancer patients, cases of malnutrition correlate with the higher number of infection, greater likelihood of recurrences, lower therapeutic response and lower survival rates, such as the early diagnosis of childhood cancer, is essential for the chances of healing and the percentage of survival to be greater. Thus, the nutritional status of children under 12 years old with leukemia and to indicate how nutritional risk factors may affect the treatment of children. Therefore, through a qualitative literature review, descriptive and explanatory type, searches were made through scientific articles published in recognized platforms and that make available up to date information on the subject under study. Based on the results found, the studies demonstrate that the eating habits adopted by children in treatment of leukemia, are influencing nutritional risk factors. These influences originated from the habits related to the period of treatment of leukemia.
