Integrative and complementary practices (PICS) are resources offered in Primary Health Care to the population (APS), with 29 PICS offered by the Unified Health System (SUS) with the aim of preventing and/or assisting in the treatment of chronic diseases. In the last decade, there has been a progressive increase in PICS in the scope of APS across the country, however, the difficulties encountered by health professionals in the implementation of these services in basic health units are notorious, in addition to the challenges encountered for adequate training in integrative practices. In this way, the present work aims to understand the current regional scenario about the knowledge, qualities and challenges faced by doctors and nurses for the fullness of PICS. To assess the knowledge of health professionals about Integrative and Complementary Practices. This is an analytical, observational and cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, carried out in the city of Ananindeua, using data collected through questionnaires applied to medical professionals and nurses. All health professionals interviewed face difficulties within the scope of PICS, with significant justification for lack of training and access during graduation. Despite the majority showing interest in the practices, there are still professionals who are disinterested and discredited with the proposed benefits. It was perceptive in this study the lack of doctors and nurses from health units in region 1 of Ananindeua-PA adequately trained to carry out complementary and integrative practices in the assisted regions. It is vital that there are changes in the approach to integrative and complementary practices in the faculties of medicine and nursing, as well as encouraging health management in this environment.
