Thus, developing an application for mobile devices to teach the measurement, classification and gradation of the deviation of Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis as a teaching tool. Method: This is a cross-sectional, descriptive, analytical study with a quantitative and qualitative approach, with an emphasis on health teaching. The study was submitted for evaluation to the Research Ethics Committee of the University Center of Pará (CESUPA) for assessment and evaluation of handling and validated using a Likert scale based on the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), accepting a Content Validity Index (CVI) greater than 0.70 to be approved. 15 specialists associated with the Brazilian Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology took part in the study. Results: The total CVI of the app obtained was 0.803, higher than that needed to validate the product. When it came to evaluating content and appearance, the items with the highest scores were "the app is suitable for its intended purpose" and "the app is intuitive" with a value of 0.87. The item with the lowest score was the product's interface, with a value of 0.73. Conclusion: The main objective of the study, to develop a portable application for teaching the measurement and grading adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, was achieved. It was possible to validate the app's usability by specialists in orthopedics and traumatology, achieving an adequate CVI.
