This can lead to decreased mobility, increased risk of falls, and impacts quality of life. The objective of this study was to identify nutritional strategies for the prevention and treatment of sarcopenia in the literature. For the development of this integrative review, 90 scientific articles in English and Portuguese were selected, from 2014 to 2023, in the following databases: Google Scholar, Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), Scielo and Capes Journals. The results found for this review were 13 scientific articles that were related to the theme. The nutritional guidelines found in the present study address adequate supplementation of proteins, whey protein, creatine, leucine, vitamin D, beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate acid (HMB), omega-3, Mediterranean diet in conjunction with the practice of physical exercise, playing a crucial role in ensuring that the muscles receive regular stimuli. Through the present study it was possible to identify the importance of an adequate diet such as the Mediterranean diet along with physical exercise and the main supplements such as: whey protein, creatine, vitamin D, B, E and C, magnesium, zinc, HMB, selenium, calcium, omega 3, leucine in order to contribute to the prevention and improvement of muscle endurance to have a possible progress in relation to this subject.
