Etnodesenvolvimento e globalização cultural: o Círio de Nazaré e a produção dos brinquedos de miriti no estado do Pará. 2021. Dissertação (Mestrado Acadêmico em Direito, Políticas Públicas e Desenvolvimento Regional) – Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, Belém, 2021.https://repositorio.cesupa.br/handle/123456789/957The objective of this dissertation is to discuss the importance of the ethnodevelopment theory to guide public policies that contribute to the valorization of local culture and the development of riverside communities in the municipality of Abaetetuba / PA that works in the production of miriti toys, handmade articles that are part of the material culture of the state of Pará and the tradition of the “Círio de Nazaré”. The miriti toys are considered material heritage in the state of Pará, for portraying the daily life of the Amazon and for its secular connection with the “Círio de Nazaré”. The majority of artisans who produce these toys, live in riverside communities islands in the interior of the municipality of Abaetetuba, requiring public development policies that respect their characteristics as a traditional community, culture and traditional knowledge. The question that the work seeks to answer is how the ethnodevelopment theory can contribute to the development of these artisans who work with the production and commercialization of miriti toys. The research is exploratory and descriptive, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. In this research, the case study technique was used, having as sources of information, in addition to bibliographic and documentary material, a field research through interviews with artisans and sellers of miriti, who were in the city of Belém in the state of Pará, during the 2020 “Círio de Nazaré” festivities. The field research shows that those involved in the production and commercialization of miriti toys have a strong cultural connection with the community where they live and with the artisanal activity they perform, but they point out that the government does not contribute for the cultural valorization of miriti toys and for the development of the communities that produce these articles. In conclusion, this dissertation demonstrate that the ethnodevelopment theory can guide public policies to contribute to the development of these riverside communities, respecting their traditional knowledge, encouraging their economic activity and placing artisans in the leading role in their life plans, contributing for the cultural valorization of miriti toys and consequently for the “Círio de Nazaré”.Acesso AbertoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Cultura e globalizaçãoPatrimônio culturalComunidades ribeirinhasPolíticas públicasCírio de NazaréArtesanato - ParáMiritiBrinquedos - ConfecçãoAbaetetuba (PA)CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADASEtnodesenvolvimento e globalização cultural: o Círio de Nazaré e a produção dos brinquedos de miriti no estado do ParáDissertação
