Achieving superior performance requires practitioner to develop specific motor skills, where nutrition and hydration play crucial roles. Understanding appropriate hydration strategies and a suitable nutritional regimen, aligned with body composition, is fundamental for the performance and health of practitioners. Objective: Tuo understand, through an integrative literature review, the relationship between body composition, hydration and athletic performance in the specific context of Kendo, aiming to provide insights that can optimize both training and the health of practitioners, Materials and Methods: An interactive literature review was condueted, with article searches in PubMed, Virtual Health Library (BVS), and Scielo, covering the period from 2010 to 2024, in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. Results: Data analysis allowed the selection of five articles that fell into two categories: those that examined the body composition of Kendo athletes and those that evaluated the hydration of these athletes. Final Considerations: This study highlights the importance and complexity of factors such as hydration, nutrition, and body composition, which are essential for athletic performance, physical development, muscle strength, as well as the health and quality of life of Kendo practitioners.
