Cidades inteligentes com infraestrutura de comunicação 5G. 2018. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Bacharelado em Engenharia de Computação) – Centro Universitário do Estado do Pará, Belém, 2018.https://repositorio.cesupa.br/handle/prefix/145In a smart city, intelligent cars could communicate to smartphones, as well as traffic lights and other cars to anticipate traffic conditions and even to avoid collisions, it means that a large proportion of communication will take place between machines, not humans. In addition, with global mobile data traffic expected to grow eight times until the end of 2023, there is a need for more efficient technology, higher data rates and better spectrum utilization. New applications such as 4K / 8K video streaming, virtual reality and emerging industrial use cases will require greater bandwidth, increased capacity, security and lower latency, and this will only be possible with the use of 5G networks. There are already several initiatives of isolated intelligent cities in operation that offer a clue about what is to come with 5G technology and this work aims to demonstrate the operation of these intelligent cities using 5G resources and the requirements for its operation, as well as a theoretical proposal for the implementation of intelligent traffic lights in the city of Belém, which will bring a better operation of the city traffic and a new design in the city performance, bringing new opportunities for people, businesses, health and transportation.
