Violência política contra a mulher: o direito à efetiva participação política como instrumento eficaz de combate à sub-representação

Abstract

This dissertation analyzes how structural violence impacts the effectiveness of the system of rights guarantees and the political violence exercised against women. The objective is to demonstrate that the analysis of structural violence is the initial mechanism to identify the most relevant factor in the political violence practiced. The research addresses the historical aspects inherent to women's political rights, in a way that highlights the moments of greatest relevance for the construction of women's political rights. It analyzes the impacts of structural violence and the gender debate in Brazil, taking into account the historical link with women's political rights in the Brazilian legal system, up to the present day, through the regulatory structure established by Law No. 14,192/2021, and all the legal aspects to which it is intended. The research provides clarifications about the legal instruments applied in cases of political violence against women, delimiting their characteristics and legal implications.
