| Resumo: | A chegada de novas tecnologias que alavacarão o desenvolvimento das cidades inteligentes, dos carros autônomos e da internet das coisas irá aumentar significativamente as taxas de dados das redes. Uma diversa gama de novos dispositivos surgirá e com eles a necessidade de atender uma série de requisitos, além das exigências por uma latência extremamente baixa e um throughtput extremamente alto. O 5G entra nesse cenário como solução para essa nova era que requer uma grande densidade de conexão. Nesse primeiro instante, a nova rede está sendo implementada a partir da infraestrutura do núcleo da rede 4G já existente, porém, um novo núcleo está sendo padronizado e irá utilizar as tecnologias SDN e NFV, buscando trazer simplicidade e flexibilidade, transformando o atual modelo em um paradigma totalmente novo e com grandes benefícios. Este trabalho busca compreender através de um estudo técnico a aplicação da SDN nessa nova arquitetura desenvolvida para o 5G, detalhando seu funcionamento e destacando vantagens e desvantagens, ressaltando ainda, que essa tecnologia trará dinamismo nos serviços de rede e é apresentada como chave para que sejam alcançados diversos desafios exigidos nessa nova geração de redes móveis. |
| Abstract: | The new technologies that will boost the development of smart cities, autonomous cars and the internet of things will significantly increase the data rates of networks. A diverse range of new devices will emerge and with them the need to attend a series of requirements, in addition to the demands for extremely low latency and extremely high throughput. 5G joins this scenario as a solution to this new era that requires a high number of connection at the same time. In this first moment, the new network is being implemented using the core infrastructure of the existing 4G network, however, a new core is being standardized and will use SDN and NFV technologies, seeking to bring simplicity and flexibility, transforming the current model into a totally new paradigm with great benefits. This work aims to understand, through a technical study, the application of SDN in this new architecture developed for 5G, detailing its operation and highlighting advantages and disadvantages, emphasizing that it will bring dynamism for the network services and it is presented as a key technology for achieving several challenges required in this new generation of mobile networks. |
